Xbox made a deal to have it release on xbox first, it’s coming out for PS4 (and PC I believe) this year.
I don’t get why you guys think being in the top 10 is so important as long as we can find games its all good 
Halo isn’t as popular as it was back during Halo 3 that can’t be argued against but its still the best selling Xbox only title and as of right now its completely playable the population isn’t so low its hurting the game
Considering how many games are on Xbox One its not bad to be in the top 20 especially a game like Halo 5 which doesn’t cater to a casual audience at all

Halo has been trying to cater to the casual audience since Reach. That’s what most of the these Spartan Abilities are for.
Being in the top 10 is important because it reflects the state of the game and peoples opinion on it in relation to other games and past entires in the series.

I play gears, love the game. I love Halo more though, and plus Gears was just a remake. I’ve played that gears long ago, needed some new Halo lol

i blame microsoft for dropping the ball with the Xbox making everyone buy a PS4.

Seriously, there is no point in bragging about being the best selling exclusive a platform. The whole point of exclusives is to get people to come to your platform. They are not intended to compete, but to complement each other by adding value to the platform.
Halo 5 certainly didn’t have the biggest launch in history by any reasonable standard. Given that Halo 3, Reach, and Halo 4 all sold more in their first week than Halo 5 has sold to date. Its nonsense marketing spin 101. Its only the biggest launch if you change the standards of what constitutes “biggest launch”. Nothing but a feeble attempt at making something look more impressive than it is by moving the goalposts(a lot like this thread).
While that doesn’t mean Halo 5 failed to make a profit, it does not say great things about the future of the franchise.
For a huge multiplayer exclusive like Halo, yeah it matters that it’s not in the top ten.
It’d be like CoD falling out of the top 10 in a matter of months, which would be devastating to CoD fans. But lucky for them, it’s never happened. Just like it’s never happened to Halo until Halo 4.

Multiplatform games are selling more Xbox One’s than Halo 5 is. The top played games list only tracks Xbox One population and several multiplatform titles are more popular on the console than Halo 5.

Most gamers are casuals, they might be getting a particular console for a few exclusives but the majority will be big multiplats like COD, GTA 5 and Minecraft, most of em won’t even know about most of the games that are coming out this year exclusively for their console. Also a lot of em might have gotten the xbox because their friends have it as well. If the majority of gamers nowadays weren’t casuals why are game developers making their games more casual, H5 is a perfect example of this.
