i really want to know whether the multiplayer is region -locked as some of my friends I usually play with are playing in a different region

I was constantly being dumped in US servers (I’m from the UK) last night , didn’t hear a UK/Euro accent all night. A lot of people over on the OT on NeoGAF were reporting the same thing so I dunno if the MM is screwy just now.

I’m in the exact same boat as you. Here’s to hoping that 343 add an option to manually choose and switch our servers.
I live in Germany and was playing with family in the States this morning. I’d guess as long as everyone in the fireteam has a decent connection it would be fine.

I love it so far because I only play with EU players and up to about 10 at night every game the latency is perfect I’m destroy kids with four shot now and there not warping all over the place so I like what 343 have done but yea I will agree that they need an option to turn it on and off for those players that play late at night but good job 343 for doing something about it I hate us servers they suck so I hope it stays like this

Exactly this. Cos i never want to play on the wrong server as it ruins my rank. To much lag

My experience as well, but only up to 6pm unfortunately. And it is a huge difference in gameplay between servers as well
I honestly think Halo 5’s multiplayer IS different from any other halo games, so yes, I personally believe it’s region locked. I can get matches in Reach really fast and I hear a load of languages I’ve never heard before, except Spanish, which I’m studying currently, but I’m getting off track here. I get home relatively late because of my job and I go to play Warzone and I NEVER find a match. and in the afternoons on the weekends I get to play on the Xbox and I find a match in under two minutes. I find matches faster when the sun’s up, and slower when the moon’s up, feel free to test this, this is why I originally thought it was region locked. my friends who live in the same town as me also noticed this. so this is my personal hypothesis
