In arena mode. It’s apparently AR starts yeh?
is there going to be an option for BR starts too like in all previous halo games?
Hows is the voting system going to work?
Pls explain to me in detail & add in how the selection of BR starts and AR starts will fit into the map selection process if possible.

There is no map voting from what I have read. A random map and gametype are chosen with no veto option. Similar to Halo 2. As far as we are aware, it will be AR starts.

I thought that was only for Warzone, was it stated somewhere that this was going to be the way it was handled universally? I’d like to know if it was, since Voting was horrible ><
Its not accurate to call them ‘AR’ starts, let’s be serious, its a Pistol start in Halo 5./nitpick
At launch it is not looking likely that there will be any BR start options. I honestly would rather just buff the Pistol if it ends up subpar than add multiple voting options. At most I could see there being BR starts in BTB when it drops post launch since it has marginally more range than the Pistol.
In team slayer there will probably not be BR starts.
There is no voting or veto system, the server will select maps using either be on a cycle or random selection.
Gametypes will be selected in the playlist you choose just like every other game. But trust me, you do not want BR starts.
If its true that there is no vetoing or voting then at the very least they surely will have to add a BR start game variant into the mix?
Also, are all the game types going to be in the one playlist?
So in Arena for example, will there be one bomb CTF oddball and slayer all mixed into the one list?
I have mixed feelings about that if its the case.
On one hand it will be good because it will put the majority of the population into one playlist causing better matching based on skill and shorter wait times for games
on the bad hand tho it will kill a lot of other specific game styles,

Actually I do…I do want BR starts…I want them very much, but thank you for trying to tell me what I do and do not want

Alright salty pants first that was a figure of speech that Corrupt used, so don’t get your pantaloons in a twist. Second There are multiple playlists in Arena as demonstrated by the Beta.

AR starts do not belong in ranked/competitive playlists. Period.
AR starts are cancerous and they don’t promote variety.
People on this forum always claim “but with AR starts the gameplay is more varied”. At low level/casual or any setting where most of the players are bad this is probably true but it’s far from that at higher levels. Here’s how a game of AR starts plays out at high levels. This is especially the case if one team is significantly less competent than the other.
The game starts, both teams rush for the BRs, DMRs, … and try to take map control. For the sake of this example let’s say the blue team are highly competent players and the other team isn’t very good. Blue team wins the initial fight and gains map control. They now spawnkill the other team for the rest of the game because they can’t properly defend themselves against the BRs when they spawn. With the blue team maintaining map control the other team is trapped in their spawn. The game either ends very fast or becomes a stale standoff of one team controlling the map and the other team hiding in their spawn waiting for BRs to spawn to properly defend themselves.
In most games with AR starts, whoever wins the first push for map control wins the game. There are hardly ever enough BRs in the spawn areas to break a spawn trap.
It is frustrating for the losing team and boring for the winning team.
With BR starts the gameplay is much more varied and it takes much more skill for a team to maintain map control and create a spawntrap.

Can you provide video proof of this happening in Halo 5 with 2 teams of equal skill?

It’s less frustrating with 2 teams of equal skill but it still happens. Ask any competitive player who plays at the highest level.
How often do you play another team that is pretty much equal in skill in matchmaking though?

Well, Flamesword said it’s well-balanced so I’ll take his word for it.
