I have been playing Halo 5 and Reach back and forth ever since Reach became backwards compatible, and iv’e noticed it’s WAY harder to find games in Halo 5 than it is in Reach. Why is that? Is Halo 5 really dying that quick? Halo Reach is getting 20k people daily which is very good for a game that is 5+ years old, but you can’t see how many people are playing Halo 5 daily. It’s almost as if 343i knew this would happen. Is there a logical reason behind the ridiculously long wait times in Halo 5? or is it really dying already? I’m not saying Halo Reach is the reason for Halo 5 having low population but at this point it looks like Halo Reach is going to out live yet another 343i Halo.

Do you live in Australia? Iv’e tried playing at different times during the day/night but still get the same result so it can’t be the time i play. Usually ‘unable to match’ appears until i finally get a game after 3-4 tries. It also can’t be my connection since every other game i play finds games quickly.

Yup same. But in Reach i can find games pretty easily.
of course the numbers went down the ranking system is garbage once the reset hit me and my friends didn’t even bother going for all onyx again whats the point if it just resets. Also weapons we spawn with a br in big team but not other playlist, why cant we just choose the weapons we spawn with… This game is pretty fun but i dont even consider it a Halo

I am from Sweden and I get into games fast no matter what gamemode I go for. And from what I’ve heard Reach’s player base is the same now as it was some months back.

I don’t think the game is dead. Their matchmaking just sucks. Notice how people who say they have ‘bad connection’ but still can find matches pretty quick? I would say I have a decent quality internet connection but I can hardly get matches in this game. I wish we had a solution because this is very disappointing.

I always find games quickly. I’ve never had to wait more than 30 seconds, and it’s not like you run into the same people over and over, unless you stay in the lobby. Or if it’s Strongside. I run intohim a lot.

Actually, i run into same people all the time, Even after 2 days, i still recognize gamertags that i played with before.

Here in the states I dont wait for a game at all. Ive heard the EU servers have had issues that could be why there is a low pop
