Is Halo 4 really the issue?

…Or is it the players? The teams I’m usually paired up with are terrible at team work and care more about their K/D than anything, I usually never play in a party but I might start now. For example I was playing on Exile and the enemy team had a Scorpion and Gauss Hog, one of my team mates got a rocket launcher for an ordinance drop and instead of dealing with the vehicles, which he had clear shots on, he instead used the rockets to kill players that weren’t even worried about him. Needless to say we lost that match.

Its the game, If you cant work towards a rank then work towards K/D.

Whatever happened to playing for the win and just having fun doing it? In the end K/D means nothing to me because a couple years from now my Halo 4 K/D will be useless.

well lets see, i will always have a black screen during a game, its lags, and oo ya the bugs during mp so yes its the game.

you dont have to win to rank up in halo 4, so if ranking up is fun, you can win or lose, but you certainly don’t have to try for anything.

W/L and skill based ranks need to be emphasized. If you don’t do well but you got assists, called out, and helped your team and end up winning, i think it’s more important than having 40+ k/d carrying bad kids and losing the match.

It was a complaint in Halo 3 to be sure. That you carried scrubs and did good but were punished for it by losing exp. I never saw the logic. You win or lose as a team, not as an individual in a team game. If you really cared about ranked, then would play with friends that would help you win.

Those with the MVP mindset think you don’t need a team of friends and that it makes you a -Yoink- gamer who can’t win is a flawed mindset. Not because you won’t win as much but simply because the game will not be as fun without some buds to trash talk the other randoms to death

I think it’s a bit of both…the TERRIBLE lag, worse I’ve seen in any Halo game ( and I’ve played them all ) Never chooses a proper host, etc…then there is the hacked accounts which seems to be getting worse and the days go on, dude tonight was a 127 with less then 300 games played and 0 spartan Ops missions done! 343 needs to clean up the MM and ban these hacking noobs ASAP

Yeah I can agree with this, with the horrible connections and horrible team mates the game can be overall not fun.

If i get around 2,000 credits if i win and get 1,700 if i lose.

Would i rather win and go +5 and rank up
OR
Would i rather lose and go +20 and still rank up

It almost isn’t a debate.

It isn’t the game… or the players. We just voice our opinions (some are explicit yes) to 343, H4 is just the middle man who passes along the info. H4 feels incomplete, that is my main gripe. It feels as if 343 paid more money for advertisement than for more programmers.

Customs are lacking.

Armor is lacking as in the different skins (CIO vs. CIO Web) instead of different armor (eg adding hyabusa).

A month in and only updates to playlists; no nerfs/buffs (I love it but the boltshot anyone), adding to customs, etc.

No UNSC air vehicle, yes it couldn’t have worked in matchmaking but forge/customs anyone.

LE wasn’t worth it, thank goodness I didn’t get it.

Automated ban system has been messing people up occasionally HOWEVER, it is really only voice/xp bans.

The random glitches/lag that has been in every halo game ever made.

Why are people worried about rank so much? I could care less about the rank of players.

I can also agree with this, customs are awful, even though I usually don’t play much of them, Halo 4 has issues but people on these forums make it out to be the worst game ever made, but I guess that’s just how forums work unfortunately…

the community, its always the community. Gaming community is almost the lowest of scum.

k/d ratio is everything in btb, op let his team down by not protecting his k/d ratio

> the community, its always the community. Gaming community is almost the lowest of scum.

Really?

> the community, its always the community. Gaming community is almost the lowest of scum.

This, most people that post on forums are all crybabies. Look at games like WOW. “NERF ------” “OMG buff -------”

> Why are people worried about rank so much? I could care less about the rank of players.

It’s about an notindividual, but rather giving adding even more incentive to play the game. For the competitive players, which you are certainly not and most likely hate due to your response, ranked will give them more reason to play than Armor or commendations do. Not everyone finds the incentive enough to play the game.

Your fun is different from theirs but that doesn’t mean we should just saying “I don’t care about this, so it shouldn’t be in the game!” Everyone enjoys Halo in their own different ways.

It’s as if i said to you that i don’t care if you play for fun because i could care less about someone who’s idea of fun is getting carried in every game. It doesn’t sound very nice and pretty narrow minded. Well that’s the flawed mindset.

Let me guess, you work for 343?

Nope not at all. I’ve been gaming for over 25 years tho, and been around since the advent of “gaming communities” and game developers adding forums for the gamers to express opinions on.

It’s always the community.
