Remember BUNGIE before reach released. They gave out so many well created maps which were free I would have paid for them obviously just like all the other map packs. In HALO 4 I hope they give free DLC for a remake or covenant multiplayer maps or even a new covenant forge pallet! Remember stand off,rats nest and foundry. They were great Forge maps an great btb maps. What about cold storage that was awesome for swat and 2v2 or 1v1 matches AND GUESS WHAT THEY WERE ALL FREE DLC IN HALO 3!

Heroic Map Pack became free much later on. First it was price cut, then made free. Cold Storage was because it was just 1 single map and it was on Bungie Day.
The only DLC that’s free as of right now in Halo 4 is Spartan Ops Season 1 (50 missions). The only other DLC that could be made free is if a single map was released.
Pretty sure all announced DLC right now is going to cost you. That’s why if you get the Legendary Edition, you get a somewhat of a discount on the Map Packs. IF they made the DLC free, then it would be yet another slap to the face of the LE buyers.

I’m not talking about this DLC I’M talking more halo 4 DlC after this announced DLC is available to buy BTW I preorders the limited edition:) !

Wait, what do you mean by DLC? Cause when people say DLC, it makes me think of Map Packs, of which three of them were already announced. Also, doesn’t Spartan Ops technically come with the game? It’s it technically added into the purchase price?
Halo 4 still looks like the game that’s giving you the most for your money, they’ve added a LOT of features into this game.

Spartan Ops season 1 is Free, that is, if you’re already a Gold member.
At least Bungie gave us DLC that was worth our money, and I think 343i will do the same. Unless we get DLC for skins and customizable armor then I will be disappointed.
Capcom is one of the worst with their DLC. DLC meaning Disc Locked Content(for capcom),with their nickel and diming you for costumes that should be unlocked in game, and now on Street Fighter x Tekken you need to buy some special moves for DLC.
I know some of you people want to be able to buy new armor and skins but you’re also ruining the content from other games by doing so. Corporations like Capcom see that people will swipe for anything and instead of unlocking these items in game like you used to, you just unlock them with your credit card.
If we stop paying extra for stuff that should already be in the game maybe they will start releasing DLC thats worth your money. DLC should feel like an expansion to the game not a piece of armor, or a Hadoken.
OT, Spartan Ops season 1 is free, i’m not sure about the future of Spartan Ops if we need to pay for each additional season.
