I saw some trailers for the forge maps, I personally think it doesn’t look as fun as reach since the forge maps aren’t that big, and the custom games screen looks like it would be difficult to navigate to players, or see if someone left or joined. What I mean is like in reach, you can see all the players the pre game screen (or whatever it is called)but in halo 4, it just looks cluttered with the spartan ID’s
have any of you guys played any good forge maps, and is it as fun as reach?
Maps are great, forge objects are nice, but they are severely limiting and small. Much smaller than previously anticipated.
Despite their rather small size relative to Forge World, they are still quite big with room to make decently large constructions.
Just nothing huge.
too bad though, I don’t think I’ll be seeing really creative, or complex maps, like drive or die
The forge isn’t really improved, sure new features were added in but oldr features were taken out. There is no way to zoom in when in monitor mode and there is no “fine editing”. Custom powerups have been removed so expect maps that relied on this too be gone. Also most infection, race maps etc. don’t work anyways anymore due to the lack of an infection or race/rally gametype. Flood isn’t infection because certain options that allowed duck hunt, ice cream man, etc… to work are not available anymore.
