Is Halo 4 dead?

Halo 4 was suppose to be a big game an every thing but the population went down tremendously. An this game just went from “The most competitive game of the year” to the most casual game. I don’t know why 343 or MLG didn’t sign with each other. But the halo community is slowly dying give your thoughts an opinions on this. P.s. if I spelled or didn’t punctuate correctly don’t get off topic or get mad at me :).

It’s been dead since Reach. It’s grave was desecrated with Halo 4.

is now… without a doubt. CSR is broken before it can even be released late

no visible ranks… they just dun get it brah

Obviously it isn’t. There are still players on there. Sure, not as many as there used to be, but there are still players on there. And as long as there are players on Halo 4, it won’t be dead.

Funny how all these folks thinks Halo is dead without their skill ranks.

According to Halo 4, it’s still alive when i play the game. I find people, i kill them, i win. Rinse and repeat for hours.

Halo 4 lives, so will future Halo games. With or without the people and their sick obsession with skill ranks.

Halo 4 is not dead…yet. I think it’s slowly dying.

343i upset so many communities with this game. The Forgers, the Racers, the Machinima makers, the Custom Gamers, the MLG players, basically anyone who isn’t a casual player.

There is no competitive side to this game and nothing 343i has said so far gives much hope that things will get better. Sure, new playlists are gonna be added, but with all the gameplay flaws still there, they’re eventually gonna be a failure too.

What we need is not new playlists, new features, or new DLC. What we need is to be recognized as a part of the community just like the casuals are.

The only difference is that the competitive community and everyone else will stick with the game longer.

/me looks at War Games and Spartan Ops population.

32,000 in War Games and 2,200 in Spartan Ops.

[sarcasm]
Yeah. Halo 4 is as dead as Tutankhamun.
[/sarcasm]

As long as Halo 4 has players its not dead…yet.

It has the worst attrition rate out of any halo game. I don’t know if you can consider that dead though.

Was on life support until 343 announced no in-game skill ranks. That’s the equivalent of a Do Not Resuscitate Order and the patient just flat-lined.

The 5min missions of Spartan Ops does not do this game justice.

You tell me.

Its not dead just that the community is crazy right now we have people watching the charts like crazed lunatics people abandoning a game not for its gameplay but for little numbers that pop up. Forge and custom games people and forge people are adaptable they can take what they have and create great things but MLG people ( at least the crazy ones that belive MLG litterally created Halo) and CSR peeps are flipping nuts.

Hey does anyone have hardcore facts on how Halotracker tracks the players ? im asking because i want to know if they do track unique users if like each individual person who played the game that day. from waht i see they dont it just looks like how many people were playing at that time. It just seems kind of useless to me like if i were to have made angry birds and say about 1 million people played it today but angry birds tracker only took the amount of people playing at a certain time and it was only say 50,000. It would be kind of pointless to judge on just that right ?

Of course not. If it was you wouldn’t be able to find a single match.

YES

Halotracker only keeps track of the number in matchmaking daily. So it goes to waypoint, checks and tracks the day’s highest population in matchmaking.

It doesn’t actually keep track of unique users over a week, Campaign players, theater, forge, customs or spartan ops. It’s a bad system to use which is why Major Nelson is the best option for people to fall back on when talking about population. And even then Nelson doesn’t give a number, just a ranking in hours played.

Seems to me like BravoMLG or now known as B is for Bravo stopped playing Halo too (or plays much much less compared to the first few weeks that Halo 4 came out). Of course he now has a real job working at 343, but still, seems hypocritical that you now have stopped playing the game yourself.

If you don’t play the game (the game that got you the job), why should 343 expect others to play the game? Love your own product man. And don’t give me that excuse that “you’re working too hard on making the game better” and don’t have time to play as clearly if you have a passion for halo, then you could at least play it for 10 mins a night.

No one I know plays it anymore and even more didn’t buy it because of there first play through the horrible multiplayer. Honestly feels like 343 doesn’t want the game to last.
