What does it take for a game to have for you to play it for over a year? Does halo 4 Have it?
IMO!!!
halo 4 will be very fun for about half a year and then all of the new “addition” will get annoying and people will stop playing. I know i will get hate from this but halo 4 DID take some ideas from cod games. this is fine but cod it not a game the is supposed to last over a year, halo is supposed to fun for 2+ years. I do not wanna see a halo game released every year so i really really hope that halo 4 has lots of replay value
I’ll be playing untill Halo 5.

This.

Maybe a year. To many other good games coming out this year and next. I’m sure I’ll play it on and off but I won’t be playing it religiously.
Considering that I’ve played Reach almost every day since it came out – and if not that, then at least a few times a week when I could squeeze it in – I think I’ll be playing Halo 4 for a long while yet.

No, that’s Reach
IDK all you guys seem so sure that it will be a great game. I will play the crap outa it but im still kinda unsure if I like the new way the series is heading.
We won’t know how much longevity the game has until it comes out.
That said, there are at least two games coming out around that time that I want. One of them, Dust 514, is going to be a huge time-sink. I’ll probably play Halo 4 for a month or two, switch to the newer games when I get them, then go back to Halo 4 a few months down the line when the new games lose their sparkle.
Cod4 seemed to last well over a year or 2.
When people say it’s like COD, if that COD is COD 4, then I see Halo 4 lasting a long time.
Plus I’m a much bigger Halo fan than any other game franchise, so I’ll be playing long past its expiration date.
So far, Halo in the title. ODST & Halo Wars I played through once or twice and stopped but all other Halo games with multiplayer have been played until the next Halo game releases.
With Campaign, Spartan Ops & Infinity War Games I’m set to play right through until Halo 5. My trouble is Halo dominates what games I play, I usually only play other games once through and then back to Halo.
Playing until the Xbox 360 dies out. This will be the last Halo game I will be purchasing in a long time (unless there are more side-project Halo games) as I will not be purchasing the next Xbox. I think Halo 4 will last one and a half years for me, but if not, I guess I’ll pick up Borderlands.
I plan on playing it just as much as Reach, if not more.
Competitive support from the developer, which is something that Halo 4 has absolutely none of. I’ll probably get bored of it after a year or so and move on to something better.

For me I will play it daily until Halo 5 is released, that said I will take a little time now and then to play new releases and their Campaign. I will likely be picking up Crysis 3, but I am not very hyped for it, didnt really enjoy its multiplayer, Reach has better multiplayer than it so I stick with Reach and Halo 3 Multiplayer. I still play Skyrim now and then as it gives a player a good break and ability to relax in a completely different world of fantasy for a while, but honestly I have never played another series that hooks me till the end like Halo. I am a veteran of the series and I will likely play every Halo title until I’m not but a pile of dust :), Halo 4 looks fantastic so far and looks to be a evolution of Halo as a series.
I will definately be diving into Spartan Ops as soon as possible, so you peeps better hit me up when your ready to check it out, otherwise I will be extremely sad :P.
