I’ve tried to do a few matchmaking games but the online only says that “information could not be retrieved from Xbox Live”. I figured that maybe online is just down atm but what’s concerning me is that my service record on the game is also set back to 1exp and my commendation pins are gone with the exception of the Legendary badge. I thought it was just for the day but hasn’t changed, I also tried Halo Reach and Reach is working for me so I’m not sure.
Does anyone know if this is just an error, servers are having problems or is it that I’ve been hacked?
Edit: I was trying on the Series X and I am currently trying to re-install it. I hooked up my 360 and tried it and everything loaded up so I guess my questions changes, does the Series X have an issue with playing Halo 3?
Personally I don’t own a series x but I do have server issues on my Xbox one as well. I think it might be just an issue with the backward compatible for halo 3. I get glitchy menus and server offline errors but not the rank reset. So to answer your question I think overall its just a problem with the server and the game running on the Xbox one and series x.
Also 343 most likely won’t fix it due to the games shut down in December which sucks because it’s still a fun game to go back to.

It’s an issue with Halo 3 in general across all Xbox. It’s been going on for 2 weeks and nothing is changing. It’s been frustrating honestly.

Yea i also have been having a ton of issues with reach recently and not so much halo 4
Same issue Spartans, I submitted a ticket on here and on insider hub. Let’s hope we get it gets resolved soon. Only been happening to me for just over a week.
