until microsoft comes out with a new xbox, then halo 3 will stay online, hopefully, cuz i still play it now and again.

I think there’d be a lot more people if it had good hit registration.
Halo 3 online had the worst hit registration of any online enabled Halo game.
Until the new xbox comes it’ll be online even then it’ll stay online for a while.
It’s demise was inevitable. As much as I hate Reach, Halo 3 was abominable, the beginning of the end (for Bungie’s Halo. 343 are doing a good job).
Note that this current opinion can be subject to change. It depends on my mood. Sometimes I like Halo 3 better. Sometimes I like Reach better. But most of the time, I like Halo 2.

I hope it stays because Reach broke so I need Halo 3 plus it is way better in multiplayer than reach and a bit of custom game but forge sucks
Even though the golden days of Halo 3 are gone. And even though not many play it, you can STILL find matches rather quickly in matchmaking. Only bad thing is, they made the playlists that are actually fun unavailable to the majority because you need the damn DLC. Another downside is, if you have more than 2 people in lobby for ranked MatchMaking you have next to 0 chance of finding a game
I just came from Halo Reach right back to Halo 3. The multiplayer feels just so much better than the newer game.

That’s just bias speculation.
Halo 3 will remain online for sometime. No halo game I’ve ever played was “worse” as everything was fun on my end. Though there will always be lame butts who disagree with this statement because they have low player skill or are too competitive that they can’t decide whether to continue playing Halo or run off to COD. It’s all player preference in the end. Halo 3 is not “doomed”. We will just have to see what new things 343i has in store.

Halo 3 is really good game but one claims this or that is the best, it’s just an opinion. One that this one can agree with but is by no means “fact”. Then again, no Halo game up to Reach has ever been “bad”. Not that Reach is garbage, just not what everyone expected/wanted.
The game has had it’s time, people still play it. For some odd reason (and despite old netcode) something about Halo 3 doesn’t make you rage like Reach does.
This one is just one achievement away from Reconz.

Agreed, as I find Halo 3 to be better than Reach, it is just my opinion. I agree that Reach wasn’t garbage, it just wasn’t completely what was expected. That’s why I play Swat (Takes the bulls*** out of the game)
I play a lot of Reach, only because of the amount of players and how fast it loads. If there were more players with a faster load in Halo 3, psh, I would be there all the time.
