Is halo 3 aiming being worked on?

I didnt know if i was just crazy or not but after a quick google search i have noticed im not the only one that has noticed the mcc halo 3 port has very wonky and loose aiming compared to the original halo3 on the xbox 360. Anyone else care to comment on this and if someone at 343i happens to browse here is there any plans on working on it?

I have no idea if they will ever fix it, a whole lot of doubt they ever will, and too much frustration from this to ever even convince myself to try another Halo 3 match until/unless it ever is fixed. If you can’t aim your gun, it’s not much fun . . . and that is a scientific fact.

Is it just me or is the Battle Rifle is the most noticeable with odd aiming? It acts like it’s not even trying to hit the target in many occasions. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

I really haven’t noticed it much but I hadn’t played Halo3 for quite some time before MCC came out, I’m sure if i went to play it on 360 and came back I might notice a difference.

I always remember the aiming in Halo 3 being off. and the hit detection being downright atrocious.
I will have to fire up my 360 and try it to see what it feels like.

I actually agree with this, lowering my sensitivity by 1 seemed to help a bit, only for H3 though. I thought it had to do with the 60fps honestly because H2 for me always worked well on 60fps (PC).

To anyone unaware, currently in Halo 3 if you move a red reticle diagonal it will accelerate at unusual speeds making it appear as if the aiming is off. It’s unclear if 343i intends to fix this issue, but they have stated they will remain committed to Halo MCC so hopefully they will get around to patching it

Considering its been 7 weeks since the last update and they haven’t said -Yoink- about the next one, i have my doubts about their commitment to MCC.

The issue, which was discussed on the other MCC forums, is that

  1. Halo 3 uses a projectile system.
  2. the original Halo 3 was designed for 30 Frames per a second.

So now that it’s on 60 frames for a second. It actually greatly affects how the Projectile system operates and you have to lead targets note then normal
