You have to use a special program to do it that is covered in the videos. You don’t need an OG console, a 360 works

Yes, it’s true! Not just for Halo but, other online games though Halo 2 is the most popular. It is outside of xbox live though.

wait but xbox consoles are hardware and external code locked, not only would it void the warranty and tos, but also from a forum thread i remember a monitor saying they where officially closed some time ago

Whatever people choose to do is up to them, I’m just confirming the way you do it. I just googled to be sure it still works, still online

I don’t know what you meant for “officially closed”; BUT, if -Yoink!- is actually trying to shutdown the apps that allow it it they seriously -Yoink-.

You can use XLink Kai which acts as a tunneling service for the OG Xbox or you can use the Project Cartographer mod if you have a PC.

I was going to say Xlink as well. XBC (Xbox Connect) was my “go to” for a long time but if memory serves me right, they shut down a few years back because it became too much to handle. The original Xbox Live servers have been shut down since April 2010
No…sadly it’s not. I wouldn’t be playing any other game if it was. I’d have my OG xbox and S controller and living the life. SIGH (Missing my childhood)
I have four of the original Xboxes and I still have house based LAN parties. Order pizza 
and play Halo CE and classic Halo 2 all weekend!

It is, but you need a special program on your pc, and connect your xbox via internet to pc so it can allow you to play it.

I recommend Xlink kai. I myself haven’t used it but 90% of people who use Xlink are playing halo 2, so you shouldn’t have any problem.
