since there are some miscalculation on this video why is master chief is wearing the mark 7 Armor not he mark IV Armor and i seen they already encounter the Storm covenant, why was the brute is so big the last time i check he was like this size. also why was Dr.Halsey was arrested and what ever happen to jun? (halo a fist full of arrows is non-cannon halo related) and one more thing how did master chiefs armor change into the mark 7 i thought hes wearing the mark 6. (Don’t spoil it for me when Dr.Halsey got arrested im not done reading Halo: the Thursday war.) and why is he so huge?
They changed the look of that armor to the one in Halo 4 so yes it is canon, just artistic difference in style. I like it more.
Halsey is being interogated in that scene, all those shots are for flashbacks and to prove a point of the spartans performance.
Brutes are that size but they’re sized down in game for gameplay reasons.
Halsey was arrested for the spartan program (Its stupid I know but go with it)

awwwww i want something big to fight!
Blame oni/unsc for arresting Halsey for the spartan project (kidnapping children).
Armour is just a new art direction, since it is a new studio taking over from bungie.

yeah but that doesn’t explain that master chief armor had changed in 4 years.
He’s not wearing Mark VII, it’s still Mark VI but Cortana modified it over the years while Chief was in cryo sleep.
> He’s not wearing Mark VII, it’s still Mark VI but Cortana modified it over the years while Chief was in cryo sleep.
like how was the armor change and how is it still the same armor when you unlock the mark 6 it looks the same from halo 3 and reach?

Cortana used nano-bots stored on the ship to change his suit. The Mark VI you unlock in multiplayer is the normal version.
> like how was the armor change and how is it still the same armor when you unlock the mark 6 it looks the same from halo 3 and reach?
MC’s armor was modified by Cortana when MC himself was in cryosleep for around 4 years. The Mk VI armor we get in the Infinity mode for our Spartans is the original model modified to be compatible with the MJOLNIR [GEN2] armor. The appearance of MC’s modified armor in the beginning cinematic of Halo 4 is beyond me, however.

Nano-bots? i never heard of nano-bots inside the cryo dome? like when did she explain the nano-bots?
Bing… really?
> Bing… really?
no, i search there isn’t any has to be on the books, the game or has to be explain by bungie or 343 employee’s.
On Halo: The Thursday War they explain that the Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor is equipped with nanobots to constantly upgrade itself during periods of idleness (example: Cryo-sleep).

thanks for the spoil…
> On Halo: The Thursday War they explain that the Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor is equipped with nanobots to constantly upgrade itself during periods of idleness (example: Cryo-sleep).
Yet they should’ve really said something like that in-game instead of assuming people read the books.
But more on-topic, I really wish the Prologue was non-canon. The armor issue alone is a huge flaw. Not too upset about the Brute though, it seems like that would be normal.
It is just the new look for the Mark-VI armour.

That wasn’t a spoil. It was mentioned in Glasslands, actually.
Also, the Brute’s size is completely correct. Brutes are supposed to be around 9 feet tall. It’s just that you never really saw a Spartan stand next to them in comparison most of the time.
> It is just the new look for the Mark-VI armour.
Except for the original, unaltered MJOLNIR Mk.VI being in multiplayer and multiplayer being canon. So no.
I know what you mean about the armor change, they mentioned in Glasslands that Naomi’s mark VII (which is mentioned in the thursday war to look like Mark V, as shown on the cover) could upgrade itself with nanotech while she was in cryosleep, but I don’t ever remember hearing that Mark VI had nanotech. You think they would have mentioned it in game rather than 343 employees stating in interviews.
It’s not canon, the Spartan II’s only look like that so new players can identify them with the Master Chief.
Besides showing the old Mk. 4 or 5 armor in the Prologue, and not having it in multiplayer would piss everyone off.
