I know its tough to tell. They all star a different team and are complete Spin-offs. Some like the storyline of ODST, some say Reach is by far the best Halo and some of the youngsters like Osiris in Guardians. Which Spin-off game is the greatest and why?
My rankings:
Reach - Simply unbelievable game. By far the best with great character development.
ODST - enriching experience that brought a different flavor to the Halo line-up.
Guardians - Points for Humor and points for tying out the Osiris storyline to the Master Chief in the Spin-off.
A spin-off is not defined by the main cast of the game but whether or not it moves the story forward. Halo 5 moved said story into the damn stratosphere in terms of progression so I’d say it is most certainly NOT a spin-off.
Wow, I knew it at the worst sales and the lowest rating but I never thought that everyone agreed with my selection if being the worst Spin-off in the series that did not star Master Chief.
Eff the Osiris Team. They can all die next game and I won’t even shed a tear. I’m willing to bet Vanessa wouldn’t miss Buck either. (Whatever happened to her anyway?)
OP made a clever joke and a lot of you aren’t understanding his point. I still thought the campaign was pretty good so i’m not really complaining about it but I would have liked more MC and a little less Osiris. Buck was my favorite character in H5 though

> Yeah. It made me actually care about the characters, and the ending was emotional and fantastic.
Reach had an excellent story. ODST though? Man… I didn’t enjoy anything about that game. I just remember it having huge, empty environments with no lighting…
