Is getting good on M+KB worth it?

Been playing Halo since I was like 8, and have always been a controller player. Got a gaming PC a few months ago but have rarely gamed on it. Downloaded MCC, hopped into a BTB and got obliterated. Against people I know I’d dominate with a controller. Is taking the time to learn M+KB worth it? I can regularly drop 20-30 kills with a controller in BTB and wanna know if you think I could even reach a higher ceiling. It just feels so uncomfortable as of now. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I realize now this is the wrong forum for this type of question. I was gonna ask something else but figured it out, and just continued here after getting destroyed.

Seems like there are pros and cons to both. Both sides also claim the other has more advantages, so there’s that too. The fact that there is such a divide on this particular topic goes to show that you can be good with either input type. I don’t think it matters that much because Halo has always worked well with a controller. You get more control with a mouse, but lose out on things like aim assist.
