I’ve been assuming they are, but I just realized I shouldn’t assume that.
Anybody know for sure?

I don’t think they are. It’s not Halo 4 afterall… lol.
Which reminds me… wonder if Skyrim does?
Very unlikely. HCEA is not a “full” Halo game after all but just a mix of remake plus add-on (maps).
do you guys not realize… weather or not there is going to be a midnight launch depends on how many preorders there are at that location…

there was a midnight launch for ODST, so that makes no sense
I’d be very surprised if my Gamestop didn’t do one. They did one for Halo Wars, and there was only like 35 people there at midnight. I think the only way they don’t do one is if it’s something they’ve changed due to the economy or something like that.

But ODST was a brand-new campaign, the first game that had firefight, and it had a cast of voice actors generally known to the public (or at least people who aren’t Halo fans). Nothing of that applies to HCEA.

… its basically the same thing, it only depends on the number of preorders anyway

Exactly… especially for smaller stores like mine… because statistically only a 1/3 of our pre-order customers will come to a midnight launch, we really have to have a solid count for it to be worth our time. Also, the stores themselves usually don’t get notified if they’re doing a launch until about a month out. (example, we only just got notified that we can do a Battlefield 3 launch, but not Batman)
It just depends on the store.

Very true, the economy wasnt in this bad of shape even when Reach came out last year. I would say they’ll based it on pre-orders.
well considering they did one for Halo ODST, (at least here in Oregon they did) I am sure they will do one for Halo Anniversary. I will call my local gamestop and check back with you on that
As a gamestop employee I can tell you that there will be a midnight for Halo CEA. WHY, well because Assassins Creed, Saints Row the Third, Need for Speed the Run, and about 10 other games come out that night. Halo and Assassins Creed are huge games. Now this might be subject to your area, but corporate pushes us to do these midnight even for gamestops like mine, which are low volume.
I can honestly say I’m not looking forward to November 1st to the 15th Uncharted 11/1/11, MW3 11/8/11, Skyrim 11/11/11 and then all the games on 11/15/11.

I that the dates listed above are Midnights, the ONLY exception could be for Uncharted 3 or Skyrim, but not both, this would have more to do with the area, and what sells more in your area. If PS3 is huge in your area than Uncharted 3, if not then Skyrim. However it’s likely that both will still get a midnight, since hours have been rather -Yoink- as of late for all the gamestops in my area. As far as I know.
(Sorry for quoting myself this was meant to be an edit.)
hey wicked, how do you like being a gamestop employee?
I called my GameStop today (before seeing the posts made since very early this morning) and the employee literally asked me what date the Halo Anniversary remake is coming out on.
I told him November 15th and then I could tell he was looking to see if other games were coming out that night based on him saying that they wouldn’t do one just for Halo, but if something else was coming out…
I then remembered that Assassin’s Creed: Revelations comes out that day too so I mentioned Assassin’s Creed was coming out and he was like, “Oh yeah…Brotherhood” and then said yeah, they’ll be doing a midnight launch then on Monday night for Halo and everything else that’s coming out that Tuesday.
