At this rate I don’t think it ever will, considering the plethora of armor/helmet, but at the same time I want it to come back so badly. There are just so many variations of armor style we could have and I would love to be able to mix and match parts from different armors. I’m pretty tired of being stuck to only using one single body type. We could at least swap out shoulders from different armors. Having to unlock everything besides the Achilles, there could be a lot of crazy combinations. Then there is the argument of, you can’t see your armor anyways. Well you can’t see your visor either, but that has a lot of variations, so why can’t we customize the full armor. We can see our armor in the customization in a cool pose, 3rd person view during gameplay like assassinations and turret, when the pelican is leaving warzone at the end of the match, and beginning and end of the match of Arena.
Yeah, I was disappointed when I bought the game and found out I couldn’t customise my arm, chest and leg armour. There are lots of sets that have one or two nice looking pieces but I hate the rest of it. Like the Soldier armour, I love the chest piece, looks really unique but I hate the arms and legs. Blegh!

I like the legs, but not the shoulders and arms and I would have swapped it out with the helljumper shoulders and chest. The soldier armor is also used by ODST members.

Like myself, I was disappointed too. Very disappointed after buying the game when playing the beta. I thought it was just temporary the customization was limited to helmet and body and that the finished game will allow us to have full armor customization.
I hope it does. When 4 came out there were a lot of complaints about how people wanted helmet customization back and the old credit system. And 343 completely ignored those people and gave even less customization. It’s sad when halo 3 has better armor customization than the newest halo while players are giving suggestions on how to improve.

I took the less customization of helmet as the armor is fully integrated with all of the latest specs and doesn’t require any upgrades. But I kinda agree, idk if they really did ignore the people but I remember a while back, it was mentioned that there isn’t full armor customization because none of the armors would look good together, and I find that not very true. Halo 4 may have not had a lot of customization like reach but much of the armor looked good together. I remember having pathfinder shoulders on mark VI and it looked pretty damn awesome. Plus I made it asymmetrical too for a tactical look. And yeah, even though Halo 3 started it and had limited options, its still better than Halo 5’s customization with chest and shoulders as swappable.

Yup. I’m still pretty salty about the dumbed down customization. They nerfed the customization in MCC too. Hopefully they reverse the trend and try to expand on the spartan customization in general.

Biggest nerf in the TMCC… my god, it was limited to only a singe type… Which was the worst.
My theory is that it was to streamline the Req system. It’s an awful lot of pieces to get through rng. The problem would be solved if we could trade req points for specific pieces.

Why sure getting my jacket now. It will keep me warm whilst you go play previous titles and see how armour implementation is a good few steps back in Halo 5 which is supposed to be a AAA Next Gen game.
I was just using everything you can do in Destiny as an example. I preferred the Reach system, was actually worth chasing

One of my favourite parts in Halo has been earning armour and piecing together my soldier. With Halo 5 I was very disappointed as there is no earning of armour just hoping for RNJesus to be in your favor. I sometimes think they only gave us two options was to sell more req packs. I hope that it comes back in Halo 6 but I doubt it will return to the days of Halo Reach and Halo $. The most I expect is Halo 3 level of customization.
I don’t think it will come back either. Since they got rid of it with the MCC. I miss being able to customize my Spartan. Halo Reach had the best customization. Halo 4 had a good one too until it was put in MCC. I really like having a unique Spartan. I really hope 343 put at least Halo 4 customization back into Halo 6. However I doubt they will.
