Is Frankie hinting at Halo 2 remake?

OK so this is pretty much how rumors get started but I wanted to point something out. In this video discussing Zanzibar Frankie loses track of how many times it’s been remade. It’s simple… It’s been remade once. The H2 PC doesn’t coun’t as you could say that every map from H2 was remade… He’s also talks about how he’s always on the other side of the Seawall trying to get a ghost as if he’s still playing the map o.0 I know thats very far fetched but I’m just trying to give you guys hope.

I would die if halo 2 was remade, Halo 2 was theeeee Glory day of Halo for me.

I feel the same way. Halo 2 was THE thing. Halo CE was my first Halo game, but it didn’t really catch my interest before Halo 2 and oh-boy I was really blown away by the awe inspiring campaign and not least the multiplayer. Halo 2 defined Xbox Live and what standards upcoming games should reach. Not only was the multiplayer the best, but the maps were inspiring and huge! I remember Headlong the first game and map I ever player Online. I walked outside and my jaw dropped…twice, because of the amazing scenery I almost lost my breath.

Those were definitely good times. Halo 2 touched my heart in ways I never expected. When the Online support was cut it was like watching my best friend catch his last breath and die in silence.

If Halo 2 were ever to reincarnate(with new spices), I would fly through the roof(In a manner of speaking, of course).

I enjoyed Halo 2’s gameplay far more than Halo: CE’s, which I’ve brutally reminded of today, when I played Halo: Anniversary.

God I hope this is true.

I don’t think so… they mention/show Halo 2 a lot though, and this video is meant to drop hints about Halo 4, so perhaps Halo 4 will be more like Halo 2? We can only hope.

Now that would be awesome.

Maybe for the 10th Ann. of Halo 2? Or just the 15th ann. of the Halo Franchise. But I don’t see it anytime soon.

I’m thinking more on the lines of Zanzibar being in Halo 4. If he’s playing it current day in another game other than Halo 2/3, it would most likely be in 4. They just finished Anniversary so I highly doubt they’re that far ahead in a remake of Halo 2. I think a lot of you are jumping the gun quite a bit here.

This. Nostalgia.

Skillful, Fun gameplay died with Halo 2. I can honestly say 2004-2007 were the best gaming years of my life. I honestly don’t think another game in our lifetime will attain the legendary level of Halo 2 MP in it’s prime. I remember being 15/16 and sneaking into my basement to play for hours and hours after my parents went to bed and being dead tired in the morning but having it all be worth it. Halo 2 I could actually play alone and have fun, all the Halos since 2 have been on a huge decline. And honestly, it’s gotten to the point where I’m sick of being disappointed by this series and H4 is my last honest shot at Halo. I hate to say it as it’s been a huge part of my life (basically half my life, came out when i was eleven, turned twenty one on the third of this month), but like I said, I’m sick of being disappointed and am really starting to believe that Halo 2 was the peak and now we’re just on a downward slope.

Beyond awesome, I would quite literally cry if they said they’re using the Halo 2 flow and gameplay mechanics as a template for Halo 4.
