Hey fellow Halo fans, with the recent updates for Halo Infinite rubbing most fans the wrong way it got me thinking. Does not having Forge and Co-Op at launch really make Halo Infinite bad?
Yes, a game being launched in an incomplete state is a bad thing. Why would you need to ask this?
Game modes that have been in previous games missing from the game at launch? Yeah that seems kinda serious especially since most people were expecting 343 to deliver after the mistakes made with Halo 5.
Doesn’t give a lot of people hope that other game modes like firefight and other arena modes will be there at launch.
Yes 343 said they learned from H5 how important coop is to the player base. And now they decide to delay it. The making of this game has been a bigger farce than H5. I find no reason Microsoft shouldn’t give the game to a more capable dev team.
While I am really disappointed with the news, it really isn’t that big in the grand scheme. I highly doubt the vast majority of people who will play infinite will care about it, it’s really only the die hard fans who have been hear for years. I’m just gonna enjoy all the new stuff at launch while I wait for Forge and Co-op.

No, of course it doesnt. The campaign and Multiplayer are there, that is a game. Forge and co-op are extras to those 2 things, extras that dont affect the game. Compared to people who just want to play the game already, the amount of people crying about forge and co-op is minimal, and because of that, people who will get affected by those 2 things not being on launch is stupidly small compared to the amount of people who will get affected by a full delay (whcih is basically everyone).
Warzone is out and Battlefield will be here soon, Fornite is strong and PUBG will be free to play, not many younglings even know about halo, infinite is aimed to legacy fans for the most part, if the game player base is dull, we will have to wait until 2077 for a new halo game plus a lot of people could get kicked from 343i, yeah it is important.
Co-op yes.
Forge yes because community made maps are the back bone of alot of 343’s playlists. So if the default maps for halo inf suck, that is 6 months of no player driven content.
I think if the rest of the game is great, the lack of CO-OP and Forge will not hurt too badly.
Still, it brings up worry about the rest of the game.

Player made content wouldn’t make it in to multiplayer playlists for months anyway.
Maps would have to be made, tested, tuned and then actually put into a relevant playlist with other similar maps.
It’s not like Forge maps would have been going to be in multiplayer rotation a week after launch.
Not really when you think about the entire base game is going to be free to play
I can say for me personally it’s not a big deal. I never used forge it’s not my thing and if they delayed it to bring something huge and with incredible tools then for me it’s ok. Now the Co-op is not huge problem for me because i always like to complete the story the first time alone, but for many at least the co-op is huge problem. Me personally i understand the difficulties. Halo Infinite Campaign is not like the previous Halo’s in terms of campaign because they change it to an open world instead of the linear choose mission finish it and go to the next. The open world have other difficulties and it’s really rare to see open world games with co-op because of many reasons like the different progression the players have, the save data from different players and even the cosplay and cross platform make all the co-op part very complicated. And to finish. This my personal opinion and i understand the frustration of others but for me if the game launch in a stable and polish state and working like it should be work then i am ok. And remember we know very few things about the game and the scale of the Zeta Halo and Multiplayer. Calm down and let the devs do their jobs.
Yes. Co-op is a no brainer. Forge I’d argue is essential for a completely successful launch. The height of the player base and community interaction is going to be at launch meaning custom games is going to be at it’s peak at that point in time. Forge mode is needed for good custom games.
If you don’t want another bare bones no content H5 launch that gave you things such as BtB and the gravity hammer as “free dlc”
Then yes, it is a big deal…

All the more reasons Forgers should be able to start immediately when the game launches, don’t you think?
“Omg! its incomplete! this isnt what I payed for!” Said Karen the spartan.
The multi-player is free, enjoy that and shield your eyes from the rest of us enjoying the single player. Hope yall got good spoiler disipline!
Most of the people complaining won’t be using co op or forge at launch. Neither will I and I’ve been through every halo delay known to halo so I’m happy for once they can get what matters out without breaking a promise a month before release 8 times
It’s essential to be in the game launch for sure. After it’s been this long.

No.
It is bad that they don’t have those things at launch.
Personally, it makes me feel skeevy as a consumer that was looking forward to enjoying a Halo game that felt like it was made for fans rather than for money.
Just delay!

^This guy gets it^
Yes it is, this really isn’t that complicated the lack of such significant features after all this time is just unacceptable. Campaign co-op in particular is something that has been a core part of the Halo experience from the beginning. A complete lack of campaign co-op after all this time is just baffling especially when the previous entry was built around campaign co-op.
Its really genuinely sad to see people doing corporate damage control around the community going “Well actually only X% of players earned this co-op achievement” or “only X% of people have finished complete a co-op campaign”. The percentage of people who have utilized X, Y, or Z feature of Halo doesn’t accurately reflect the value they give the community.
I have not been the biggest co-op player myself, but completing the Halo 3 vidmasters with 3 strangers I met in matchmaking is one of my fondest memories of playing Halo. I’m one of those “only X%” co-op players but my Halo experience would fundamentally not be the same without it.
