Frequently, even at peak times I don’t see many people playing Flood, why do we think this is?
I know newer playlists have/are been added and people are playing them but still I remember Infected in Reach being one of the highest played playlists peak time or not.
I know it desperately needs new maps and it hasn’t really seen any considerable updates since Nov 6. Its just sad because its like its dying.
I think a lot of people in Reach used it to farm cR, as the infected were much easier to kill. Now though, the Flood are a lot harder to kill so it’s not as an efficient way to rank up.

Good point, I also recall Infected being the no1 playlist for all the Reach kids to get their K’D’s up in.
For me,it had to do with these fact there wasn’t much you could of done with the game, especially in customgames.
that and I don’t many people like all being plasterd in lemon yellow armor, but’s somwhat an asetic, they should bring back flood but in customgames but maybe fix a few things,I do like being able to be a legit flood monster in infection
Infection has been going downhill since Reach =/ Halo 3 infection I could play all day and never get bored, but Reach made it annoying (super weak zombies, FF, camping maps coughSwordBaseliftcough) and I can’t stand it in Halo 4 either. I played it to max my shotgun commendation and that was it. I’ve hardly played it since, only for challenges if necessary.
In my opinion, it isn’t as fun because the infected now have shields, making the pistol worthless and the maps are too big. I hate it when I am infected and have to walk for a minute and a half to get to where everyone is camping, die, and then make the walk again, especially since I can’t sprint.
People dont like it simply because they miss the bility to destroy the infected
now the infected have a fighting chance making it funner
Thos who dont like it always say they did better in reach right after and ya ya did, But ya gotta die and its unfair to make the zombies so weak

And that it is nowhere near as flexible like Infection was with custom options.
> Flood is terrible not as fun as Reach’s infection. Even the magnum is crap which even gave me a killionare on Reach.
They ruined flood, they tried to make the gametype balanced. Which was a horrible idea and attempt. Zombies aren’t supposed to have the upper hand nor should they be balanced with humans. It is supposed to tip in the humans favor giving them the advantage, so zombies have to work together to kill the humans, but giving zombies thruster pack and farther lunge ruins the game.
Exactly, you only got destroyed on previous infections if you weren’t smart. Why would you rush someone directly? Now you can abuse the lag and thruster+sword someone, killing them even if you die first.
I stopped playing flood because it was nothing like Brainz from halo 3 or alpha zombies from reach. the number 1 problem with infection in reach was the fact that the zombies started with evade, now they made it worse and gave the flood thruster pack which completely disorients me. the game is suppose to be a team based game. survivor’s are suppose to lock down a spot on the map, and infected are suppose to charge all at once to get maybe a single survivor out of the whole group. In Flood however, that never seems to happen because the infected are overpowered and don’t need team work.

So you don’t remember Alpha Zombies on Boardwalk then? When everybody would camp the balcony and pick off infected from miles away with the magnum?
Reach’s infection was ridiculous. Many people used it to increase their KD because it was so easy, and then they would go afk once they got infected.
I will openly admit to using Infection to fix and rebalance the negative effect that Grifball had on my KD.
Apart from the stat-boosters, the reason Flood isn’t popular is because, like what Decepticon said, lack of customization. There’s only one way to succeed, thruster pack and swing your sword.
> the number 1 problem with infection in reach was the fact that the zombies started with evade
Evade was the only chance the zombies had.
In Reach’s Infection, everybody just rushed in no matter what. It became an exercise in stat-boosting and that’s exactly the reason why everybody voted for Alpha Zombies (sprint) instead of Infection (evade). It was easier to dominate.
I never got destroyed as an infected, just waited for the fodder or rusher players to go for the humans and then attack at the correct time. You couldnt mindlessly rush before just as now in flood. And who cares about k/d spread? Only the slayer one matters.
