Yeah, people are still complaining, personally I am sticking to MCC since my aspects are not really stable. What I primarily do when it comes to multiplayer is just using the customization system and theater to make characters. Infinite is fun but its just not my kind of thing currently due to a few things such as too many armors being locked when lesser items are in the battle pass, so I am not grinding and only playing on occassion as I don’t really have something to strive for. I just suggest those who actually like playing multiplayer in Halo, stick to it, and otherwise stick to a truely 10/10 campaigh and possibly go back to games you like the customization of. Then again that is just my opinion on it all.
Actually I have sourced in some of my previous posts with actual statistics proving it’s been the top game for 4 weeks. Halo 5 declined rather quickly after launch.
And you’re not trying to point out negative issues about the game. You’re complaining about things that you will never change. The game is free to play, no amount of whining is going to change this.
People said the game would die on day 1. 3 months later the same people will just say the game is only popular because it’s free to play. Thanks but a lot of people enjoy the game, shame you are hoping for its downfall
“Don’t question; just consume product and get excited for next product.”
I would pee my pants if it got me mark 6 armor
He’s not hoping for the games downfall. You just keep saying that putting words in his mouth.
His point was that the game won’t have a long lifespan if these critical issues, aforementioned by everyone else in this thread, don’t get handled swiftly.
Bababooey, let’s focus on the actual criticism of Infinite rather than picking apart minute details of someone’s argument (This goes for everybody). I’d love to see more statistics or anything that would prove your point about the projected lifespan. I’m actually interested, we could tie that into the debate regarding the negative problems about the game.
I’m concerned about the battlepass’ impact on longevity. Can this system continue long term with a happy fan base?
No one can speak for the games longevity because no one can predict the future. But to each their own
He also seems to not get the fact that, many of us(not all), complain because we want the game to be better. We want it to be good, but if just say everything is great it can’t get better or fix the problems it has. Constructive criticism and user feedback is essential to any video game. Like should we not tell 343 that the open world cuts fps in half for several pc builds?
Halo Infinite gameplay is fine(obvious minor tune-ups needed), but the content in MP is severely lacking(compared to previous games) even after purchasing the BattlePass. On top of that the story was written poorly, only focusing on undoing past storylines and setting up the future of Halo which looks really bland to be honest. Somehow the god-like Precursors who seeded all known life in the Milky Way completely skipped over a species of alien that can not only avoid the god-like power of neural physics and neutrino pulses(from Halo Arrays) but also somehow be a larger threat than the Flood(which is a mutation of Precursor dust).
On the other hand Five nights at Freddie’s had far more viewers than players. It’s not an accurate measurement
Never did I say the game was perfect. Nice try
Your criticism is “this game used to be paid for, now it’s free to play and we don’t like it”
Nothing is gunna change with the monetization
It’s the first step of grief: denial. I was there too once I realized 343 had killed the franchise, hopefully they’ll get over it soon and realize that the only way to improve is to actually fix issues. Some people think that because it’s a free game that has optional paid content, it is exempt from criticism. Luckily for us those same people are not in charge of any important descision, ever.
Look how the massacred my boy.
I would rather get a free to play game that received constant updates, dlc, gameplay additions (that I don’t have to pay for) , over armor so I can make my spartan look pretty.
Somehow, I still manage to have fun.
It’s crazy.
I want to dress up as Grimace.
Oh wait it’s gonna cost 20 bucks, never mind.
Some people love to play Halo, some people love to complain about Halo, what this means is that everyone basically loves Halo.
We all love Halo, it’s why we’re on the forum at all. We care about the game which is why we want it to be better. We want to hold 343 accountable and to the standard.
Just wanna make something clear, I started with Halo 3 back in 2009, and I prefer Halo Reach and Halo 4 over ANY of the other games, hell I even enjoy Halo 5 these days, but Infinite, this ain’t it Chief.
The biggest complaints about Halo 5 were the microtransactions and cosmetic restrictions, so what does 343 do? Rather than fixing the issues, they double down on both. Character Customization is one of the 3 BIGGEST staples of Halo, the other two being Campaign and Multiplayer.
I love 343’s older titles, because with Halo 4 you could tell it was their first outing, but it was still enjoyable, Halo 5, seemed like they had genuinely no idea what they were doing with the game until 3 months after launch, Infinite feels like they know EXACTLY what they’re doing and it feels both malicious and predatory on levels I’ve only ever felt from EA and Activision.
My point is 343 is a AAA developer, they don’t NEED microtransactions in a game, especially considering they are directly a part of Microsoft. I don’t blame 343 for putting the Microtransactions in the game, that goes on Microsoft and the Shareholders, but I DO blame 343 for how they’ve addressed this particular topic, either radio silence, corporate double speak, or passive aggressive hostility towards anyone who DOESN’T want microtransactions (The majority of the community).
Then there’s the whole Free to play model, and let’s be honest, it’s NEVER worked in the long run… Sure it sounds like a good idea in practice but it never pans out over time, people just move on to other games. Live service games need to stop, we need to GO BACK to how online games used to be BEFORE microtransactions ruined the AAA industry.
People are expecting this game to go on for TEN YEARS, I’m expecting it to last 3, 4 at the most before 343 realizes they don’t have enough players to continue making profit off the game.
343 if you’re listening, never EVER let yourselves be talked into Free to Play again, you KNOW how to make good Halo games, and yes each one does have it’s own set of issues, what Halo doesn’t? But please know that most of us would rather pay an upscaled retail price for a full game with all content day 1 and minimal/no microtransactions than a free to play game with minimal content day 1 and insanely predatory microtransactions.
I agree reach and halo 4 are my favorites too, and I started with halo 3 as well
I think the only option for a new halo would either be free to play w/ micro transactions OR pay to play like world of war craft. I say this because I loved halo 3 and wished they could have kept adding to it like what they tried to do with halo 3: ODST. I’ve learned and seen that if they aren’t making money from their game, they’re just going to cut it each time and then we’ll have halo 7, 8, 9, 1000!
I guess it’s called halo infinite so that they can just keep adding content and not scrap, recreate, sell and repeat
Step aside. No seriously. Step aside. You wanna bend the knee to bad practices? Cool do you. But leave the grown men to fight this nonsense. No game should launch this way. PERIOD . END OF STORY.
