I feel there’s something fishy going on or maybe it’s just my connection. I seem to notice when it comes toward the end of a match things get slightly laggy. Have also had random disconnects with matches during the middle or near the end.
Does your internet network crash as you disconnect from the matches?
Id imagine it is possible, as stated above you get disconnected from the internet completely momentarily. Its not fun.
As Halo 5 uses dedicated servers, to my knowledge there should be no way for another player to obtain your IP address (at least I don’t see why the server would be broadcasting all the players’ addresses to everyone in the game), which would make targeting other players in the game with DoS attacks very difficult. Therefore the only possible target would be the server, and attacking it would just cause bad time for everyone, including the attacker, which makes the whole attack kind of pointless. Also, if someone was performing a DoS attack on you successfully, “slightly laggy” wouldn’t exactly describe the situation. Your whole home network would stop working. Likewise, if someone was successfully attacking the server, everyone would get disconnected once the server stops responding.
I think it’s much more likely that you’re just applying confirmation bias to random connection issues.
