Just a thing I have been thinking about a bit recently. It seems that with every match I go into there is a bunch of noobs on your team who kill you and take the flag for themselves, and if there is a vehicle that you in no possible way know that they wanted just shoot or grenade you if you get in, as with most other game types they just get angry and blow you up if you get a heavy vehicle. I like CTF myself and seeing as I play Heavies the most I do end up voting for it since when I select CTF in the menu instead of loading up the options and let players vote for what they should play I end with the idiots who I mentioned earlier. So what do you think? Is CTF dead or just dying?
CTF for me usually ends in less then 3 minutes, well larger ctf would be nice or if BTB all ready ha’s that i haven’t played BTB that much.
I like ctf it’s one of if not my favorite gametypes, but unless your in a group of like minded people ctf in matchmaking is almost unbearable. Picking up ramdoms seems like everyone either just goes for kills or are just bad and don’t know what they are doing.

ctf is a more competitive and team oriented game type compared to slayer. Most people find fps’ only goal is to kill, which in no way is the goal @ all, EVEN IN TS.
The goal is to reach the score limit before the enemy team, this is most easily done by NOT DIEING. People don’t understand when flags should be pulled etc. so they’d rather play TS because every understands the main goal, for the most part

I was once in a game of CTF and I got all the flags within 1 minute and no shots hitting me at all because both teams had scorpions and thought oh hey, killing time…
A lot of people have it right. When with a party CTF is great. Randoms will ruin your night. BTB CTF is even better.
