Is credits offline viable at all anymore?

So, I recently picked up Halo Reach again on my Xbox One and have been replaying campaign. Here’s the thing, I’m currently Brigidiar 3 and would like to keep ranking up and unlocking armor buuut…
I only have satellite internet access which means online multiplayer is not an option (to clarify I CAN connect to LIVE, but I cannot actually play any matches do to insane latency) I know back in the day there was an option for solo firefight in matchmaking but that seems to be gone.
Is there anyway to reasonably earn credits without matchmaking or am I just -Yoinked!- at this point?

What do you mean gone? It’s called “Score Attack”. It’s still up and running.

I think the Target Locator thing on ONI Sword Base still works. It’s not as efficient as some other methods online but still works.

I currently do not have a Gold account and after much research the best I can do is to play Campaign related challenges. Otherwise I get a max of 250 credits for playing a Campaign level or local Firefight. I continue to mourn the loss of custom challenges even though it’s been years now. If it’s an option, have you already gotten the 100K credits for all the monitors in Halo Anniversary?

I have not, however I have an issue with Halo Channel not working on my Xbox (possibly due to my -Yoink- tier internet.) So I’m not sure I could take advantage of that.

Actually you’re right. I checked again today and it was there. Don’t know why o couldn’t find it last night but the entire “Cooperative” list was gone. So I guess my issue is resolved now XD

Gone? You got me confused there. Strange.

IF you can connect to the point to do the daily/weekly challenges, do them…or at least do the ones that don’t require Matchmaking. Apparently playing the campaign on Legendary with skulls on also can net a decent cR reward. But don’t do it offline. I currently have to play offline due to no Internet as well as no Xbox Live Gold…soo…I only get a fraction of cR I normally would get online. I can play a Legendary Firefight session for 2-3 hours alone and only get like 232cR when it’s all said and done.

Those ‘Game Complete’ cR do increase, the higher your rank becomes, but still it’s such a small fraction.
Campaign Commendations & Challenges, Firefight Commendations & Challenges, that’s the way to go! But online 4 Player Firefight is probably much, much faster.

Nope, as soon as you go online 9/10 chance it will all be reversed, or you gonna get banned. (if there are still any admins patrolling Reach)

Aiming for max rank offline was never viable. While possible it’ll take you ten times longer.

I used to have the same problem too, but I would always check the Campaign Challenges & do with this video did. I am not usually on Reach anymore but you can try.

With the exception of Daily Challenges, there’s really no way of efficiently earning Credits in Halo: Reach without playing Matchmaking. I recently played an offline Firefight game on this account in order to get the achievement for earning one million points, yet despite how many points I got and the fact that the game lasted an hour I only received 50 Credits.

Unless you can play Matchmaking or do the challenges, don’t bother trying to rank up as it’ll be a frustrating mess.
