I want to stay legit but seeing all these people with the green visor and assassination helmet ect just piss me off, my question is the following: are commendations meant to be obtainable in custom games and is tottaly legit or not ? And if its not, then why the hell havent they patch it already…
Just curious…how many total assinations do you have to do to get that helmet?

Just so you know, the green visor can be unlocked through Spartan Ops, Vehicle commendations aren’t War Games exclusive.

And the assassinations is apparently quite easy in dominion, just “protect” your held bases and assassinate those who try to capture them (the attacker has a slight vulnerability when capturing terminals)
As long as your not going into Regicide or FFA Throwback with a guest who is “afk” or actively hunting you down so you can assassinate them, then you should be fine.
at least they are banning people for it… still it sounds like something easy to fix. and for the banhammer. its hard to spot players who boost commendations and players who play, idk, splatter only custom games with their friends online… legitly boosting their splatter commendations. even if they fixed it later, a whole bunch of players will have boosted their commendations without getting catched. this is a big fail from 343 imo. especially for not patching this like asap
Can you get commendation in custom games?
splatter has to be done on enemy spartans and therefore can not be done in spartan ops because unlike in campaign a.i. spartan will not become enemies that count toward kills (I have tested this myself many times). as for boosting in custom war games this is not feasible as assassinations there won’t count towards your commendation (I have tested this as well).

Didn´t boost for my green visor, got it very early because I´m a dedicated vehicle/hog driver.
You don’t need to boost to get these commendations, they’re easy to obtain if you set yourself a goal and work towards it. Don’t be lazy.

The splatters only count if in War Games. The splatter master commendation says splatter enemy spartans.

believe its 125-150. not that high.

No that doesn’t seem that high…however out of my 3000ish kills I think I have 2 assinations. Lol. I better put on my ninja suit.

Seeing “all those people” with it doesn’t mean they boosted. I’ve personally completed Assassination Mastery, First Strike Mastery, and am rather close to Splatter Mastery without boosting at all (in addition to several other Masteries, such as Pistol). It does take some dedication though; I’m working on Frag Mastery right now and it’s a -Yoink- having to use Frags when Plasmas are better in almost every way. But I’ll push through and keep using them until I have it.
Likewise, with Assassination, I had to focus on pure Assassinations for several games (focusing on getting behind the enemy team and such), and for First Strikes I played Flood for so long. Splatters, I’ll hop into BTB or Dominion every now and then and use the Wraith (it’s so much better than the Ghost for splatters; idiots try to jump over it but can’t), or when I’m using the Ghost as intended, if I see a splatter opportunity I’ll take it.
Personally for Assassination Mastery, I recommend SWAT and trying to get behind the enemy team. You can die much more easily in SWAT, but thanks to the lack of a motion sensor it allows you to ambush opponents much more easily if you can get behind them. I was usually able to get 2-5 assassinations a game in SWAT.
totally bannable — they have an algorithm to detect boosting so I wouldn’t if I were you.
