is championship DLC worth getting?

> I love it. The Pit is easily now the best map in Halo 4. Vertigo is pretty awesome too. And I much prefer the art style of the four new armors. They look a lot more conventional and less bizarre, like in previous Halo games.

Nah, I Already pre ordered battlefield 4 and its premium, so I dont need Back to Karland anymore…( Im a bit of a BF fanboy if you cant Tell XD)

Now im deciding between championship and the upcoming BO2 zombies DLC

> You should get it, Best halo dlc to date. ^-^

I dont know… Majestic was pretty badass, so that’ll be hard to beat :stuck_out_tongue:

Depends.

Tho the DLC it self is quite good and such there is one major FLAW, it WILL NOT WORK ON SPARTAN OPS OR CAMPAIGN, wich means that if you think you will be able to see your sweet new armor and gun skins in game and you are not playing matchmaking it wont happen you will get reverted back to recruit.

Ricochet is good and all but the gametype will be released for free in a few weeks as well as 2 of the armor abbilities, so really you would only get early access to play Ricochet, 2 maps wich we might never see in rotation thansk to how dlc is implemented and of course skins and stances, skins wont work outside of matchmaking and stances well they are just that.

If after taking into account all of this you still think it is worth it then by all means go for it.

If you want good MM, it’s fantastic and worth every penny.

As long as you don’t mind the content isn’t usable in Spartan ops unlike the rest of the skins and mods are.

It depends.

If you’re more into competitive multiplayer, then you’ll likely enjoy the DLC.

If you’re more into single-player or co-op play like in Spartan Ops, then the DLC is utterly worthless; none of the new content (armor, weapon skins, armor mods, and armor skins) works in Spartan Ops.

Well, that’s a -Yoink- move 343…

I was looking forward to using my new skins with friends in spartan ops :frowning:

You must be new to Halo then.

> You must be new to Halo then.

Wut.

no do not get the championship bundle . its too awesome and will get you hooked to the game . rip social life

If you want the poses, armor, and maps sure, if not, just wait for ricochet to be made available to everyone.

I will say right off the bat, mine is a very biased opinion. I have counted the games that I have bought and have literally not played due to the fact that I just keep playing Halo in all it’s shapes and forms…the total is 20!

Don’t get me wrong I have issues with Halo 4, but I just can’t stop playing this game for long. I bought the DLC the day it came out. It was not a question. I made sure I had the MS points weeks in advance. That is partly because I just flat out enjoy the game, and look forward to see all the permutations of it, plus I want to support Halo in any way that I can.

I can’t way in on COD or BF. I’m a sci-fi nerd, I have real long term interest in those games. I could do without the skins, even though I keep changing my look and weapons, but the two new maps and the new gametype are will worth the little money that is spent.

It depends, personally I feel that it’s a rip-off. But I got it for the Mark V, I need the map packs to get my achievements sorted plus there not really worth the skins plus as usual in Halo 4 we lack any big team maps, most of the skins are wasted in my opinion plus Battlefield does the exact same thing when it comes to weapon skins, etc… for free while 343i us charges for it. If I was short on cash then I wouldn’t even considered the dlc.

If you’re someone who is addicted to how your Spartan looks like I am, these new armors are pretty cool, but it’s hard to combine them with armors originally in the game. My armor configuration is the only one I’ve found that can have the ODST helmet with default armor that came with the game. It looks beast though, o I’d say the armor’s worth it.

The maps are great. Although I’m not really feeling Vertigo, I love Pitfall. The new game mode is literally the most fun game mode I’ve ever played in Halo.

The new weapon skins are pretty epic too. Just look up the pictures of them. They’re sweet!

All in all, yes. I think it’s worth 800 ms ($10)

It’s worth every penny. Just 10 bucks, anyways. Might as well just get the whole Bundle rather than getting everything separately :stuck_out_tongue:

Plus there are those bonus Stances and Weapon Skins like Assault Rifle Teeth and Battle Rifle Salvage that you can’t get in the seperate packs. That makes the deal a bit sweeter.

Except that for half the price you can get a harpoon gun bundled with crackdown DLC, and even if this new content actually worked in those parts of the game I still play (Ie. SOPS, and I won’t say anything else about that here) I can’t say that it’s anywhere near HARPOON GUN territory.

Champions is cool, yah, but there’s plenty of caveats to spoil it both within and without this franchise.

Wah wah, the point is that while there’s bits to like about the champions DLC I don’t think you can give it a good recommendation and not be disingenuous. A bit here, a point there, and a lot of good competition for your money and what you have is something that could be fun, but only if it really speaks to the narrow field of your core gaming interests.

So in having to ask “Is it really worth it?” the answer has to be “No.”

I decided to buy the 2 new maps for 540,

since theres really no point in skins if they cant be used in SP OPs or campaign
