OT: You’re redundant
On Topic: Cheap tactic, but useful in certain situations… up by a few, need some easy kills. Or down by a couple, and need to outnumber the other team by getting one unsuspecting guy.
obviously it is a legitimate tactic.
It’s a legitimate tactic.
If you are dying to it, it’s legitimate. You don’t see 343 handing out bans to those who camp because it’s not cheating. It’s unfair because YOU are dying and not because it’s breaking the game.
Plus it’s really your fault for being foolhardy and going up yellow lift on Sword or charging into an area where campers set up with shotty/sword.
Also Spawn trapping and setting up is legit. I am not the best player and i can tell you right now those who hate are just mad jelly/hypocrites. There is nothing more fun than setting up on scrubs who lose map control and trapping them. If given the chance (though it’s rare) randoms spawn trap too, though their set ups are weak and breakable.
As much as I hate it, camping is not a cheap tactic, its legit. However, if someone is camping outside map boundaries or in an area where they are invulnerable than that is cheating (ie: rock on fuel in MW2).
I don’t think Halo has had those problems though.
It’s a legitimate tactic.
Obviously.
Its just unfun like hoarding power weapons and mindless rushing and so many other things
It’s only legit if you’re using the sniper.
It’s one of those things that everyone has to decide for themselves. If you feel you have a good understanding of map flow and the enemy’s nature, staying mobile would be worth it. But if you’re new to a map, or you’ve recently lost your cool, it’s alright to sit back and wait for your safety blanket to fall back down around you.
On the other hand, camping is generally a good measure of character, take Infection for instance. Some players like the thrill of the hunt, whereas others are content to sit in a dark hole and wait. That’s not my preferred style, but there are people who get all the fun they need from sitting around and waiting.
Only the Halo community would have person after person say camping is legit.
