So not sure what’s going on with BTB lately but something isn’t working right. Got put into a game where it was 2vs2. Keep “losing connection to the server” or getting kicked once it’s booting up. Tried 6 times, got 1 game to actually work. Anyone else having issues?

It’s been having issues for days. Earlier Halo Support Twitter posted they were aware (again) and were purposely limiting it to 10v10 until they could figure things out.
Halo Support @HaloSupport The #HaloInfinite team is continuing to investigate matchmaking errors in Big Team Battle. To aid the investigation, BTB will temporarily reduce from 12v12 to 10v10 players. We’ll monitor how this change impacts the issue, so stay tuned for updates and the return of 12v12.
They made that post 6 hours ago and since the tweet I’ve had more issues getting matches than before. It was already borked, now it seems thoroughly broken.

Well i said the other day its probs due to low player pool in btb
Pretty sure the servers are just taking a nosedive because if by miracle you get into a match, you might only have 5 players on your team or the other team, because everyone else got stuck in the loading screen and had to force quit the game. Meanwhile even in Quick Play I’m seeing people dropping like crazy, swapped out for bots. I played a match where the other team had 7 different players join in and crash to be replaced by bots again. I felt bad for the 2 people trying to play CTF but there was even a guy on our team that crashed, so we had a bot too. The game is just painfully unstable, yet they won’t remove quit bans for unranked modes.

I’ve loaded in with no UI and the main menu music still playing.
Managed to go positive but it was definitely a nasty experience.

BTB is broken and Halo Support has confirmed it multiple times over the last several days. Go be a clown elsewhere.

When that happens I just turn off music in the audio settings, but basically playing with the no visor skull sucks. The music staying on during the match happens quite often and it’s very irritating
It has nothing to do with the population. The instant the update for campaign went live btb broke. Its been 8 days now so the btb population im sure is pretty low right now but that is not why no one can get games.

so BTB will work literally 1 times out of 10 for me. the other 9 times will be server errors. i queue up, it says server error, i close it. i queue up, it says server error, i close it. over and over. i have wasted 3 XP boosts because trying to queue up before realizing it was always BTB. oh and guess what?
I got banned because of their server issues

The connection timeouts are starting to get more consistent. Really annoying.
BTB has had this issue for almost the entire launch of the game I think…
If anything your the one being toxic his response was perfectly fine…

BTB machine broke. And its Christmas so dont expect a fix anytime soon.

Bro, BTB has been broken for awhile now. Quite disappointing. They’ve had 6 years to refine this issue. I mean literally released a barebones type game.

Its literally 2022. rumoured by some game journos of 343 fixing btb bug in 2022. I remember btb being broken around the 16th or 20th. while im not having the same strange issues you blokes are (joining 4 player matches, crashing in-game) im having a different issue where there are “botched servers” that allow you to move from lag effects away from your “spawn point” so the camera pans to you far away. microsoft seems to have fixed where you could lag a game and end up spawning in the enemy zone by just walking while the loading phase was still up. if this happens, you end up being rubberbound back to the original spawn and interestingly enough having a lovely crash to greet you mere minutes after. btb matches for me personally are “couldnt connect to dedicated server” - “there was a problem with matchmaking” and my alltime personal favourite “couldnt connect to fireteam” which, every time you press “okay” it will attempt to reconnect to the server and then show you the exact same dialogue you just okay’d. ive noticed something strangely similar to a post made “4 player matches” i have seen in matchmaking the number 24 half to 12, you wont load into the game ever though, you’ll get another disconnect. SOME GAMES HOWEVER DO WORK!! but rarely.
