Apologies for the poor choice of words in the title.
I’m not much of a BR user, but from what I experienced it feels like Halo’s noob tube from my perspective. The 3 shot pattern makes it easy to break the shield and get a headshot with one trigger press once the shield is weak enough, and you’re more likely to get a headshot with a quick shooting swipe with a hint of aim assist to help. And everyone in every playlist likes to hide in a corner and use it to snipe across maps.
I can understand it’s application, since it’s a precision weapon and all, but being accessible early in a warzone game feels too much when everyone can sneak up from the back and get a Perfect Kill, and that goes double for those facing lag kills (It’s literally half the normal time of a BR Perfect Kill required with lag). It’s really easy to steal kills with it too, and the REQ system and match ranking system don’t exactly encourage cooperative play with it since your kills (Which can be stolen from others) matter significantly more than assists, but I digress since that’s a whole other issue.
A similar thing can be said in BTB as well, map size aside, pretty much entire teams sport the BR as a main weapon when they’re not using power weapons or vehicles since they start with it.
Honestly, I don’t see much wrong with the BR in general, but considering it’s a go-to weapon for every gametype, the lack of diversity is already getting stale; I feel like they need to change it up a bit, either with changing the REQ level required for weapons or making only some of the BTB gametypes start with BR. Not that Halo had big weapon variety in the first place, but it definitely would be nice if there were gametypes that encourage using other weapons when possible.

I don’t know really, I can say for me personally it feels like it should be a map pick up not a starting weapon, I was anyways been a BTB fan and I’m not enjoying myself at all. My TTK compared to my TTD feels way off as well. That in conjunction with what I feel to be very minimal feedback when taking damage I tend to feel like im almost dying instantly.
