Is ATLAS worth it?

343 just announced Halo Waypoint and ATLAS apps are coming to ios. But ATLAS is 4.99 so im not sure if i should get it.

You get maps with the spawn location of all weapons and vehicles in near-real time in MM and the current location in custom and you can see your team-mates. Thats basiclly a $9.99 guidebook and you get more info

Not really, unless you’re a complete beginner.

It’s $5?

Do NOT buy it. I emplore you. Paying $5 for what, in custom games, would be a very big advantage is complete BS and something 343 should never have done.

Only useable in Matchmaking and Firefight.

It’s available to everyone so if your using it and they are not, they have the opportunity to use it but they don’t (they will still wonder how you always know when the weapons and vehicles spawn though)

Personally, I’m not too fond of ATLAS. I feel like it takes away the fun element of searching for the guns. Plus, its unfair if some people in a game have it, while others don’t. And even if I was interested, it won’t run on my iPod, anyways.

Only if your new to the game or play Halo: Reach a lot.

IMO no not worth it. make it free and i’d get it for kicks and giggles.

Bungie used to do this for free.

Weapon location, heat maps. What’s new…spawn locations?

I have a Dell Venue Pro Windows phone, and ATLAS in integral with Waypoint on WinPhone.

I tested it out this weekend and didn’t find it a big help.

The map symbology is so crowded and jumbled up close icons on the map overlap and cover each other. It does follow you around the map.

But to me it’s just not that big a deal.

I like giggles

I don’t even see what would be appealing about it. Watch your friends as a dot moving around in their game on a delay? It’s one thing if you could maybe help “coach” them, but if it isn’t an immediate reflection of what is going on in the game then it is worthless. Also $5? -Yoink-.

If it was for the iphone I would buy it in a heartbeat but sadly its only out with microsofts phone. :frowning:

Pretty sure it’s available for iOS too mate.

actually if you have a good connection it is pretty fast. My friend has it and it is o.k. if you have someone with you who doesnt want to play so he can tell you stuff like “theres a gravity hammer to your left”. BUT it is definetly not worth $5. If it was $1 i would get it without even considering.

I still don’t understand the point of it, but whatever.

Im in the same boat as you. I tried it out a little bit on my iPhone but I never understood it.
