I’m finding Arena much more frustrating than enjoyable as of late. Between the connection problems, quitting, low requisition point rewards after completing a match, wasting legendary arena req cards on matches where it ends up being 3v4, 2v4 or worse.
Edit: as a solo player, Arena is basically unplayable with the exceptions of FFA & SWAT. I hope 343i addresses this at some point because Arena could be awesome.
How do my fellow Spartans feel about this?
It’d be more enjoyable with more variety of game-types, such as Team Doubles and Oddball! Connection problems/quitters can be a pain too though, and I do often find people quitting/lagging out on my team when I play solo - it’s a shame that if my team of 3 loses against 4, particularly in CTF/SH, we’re still penalised for a loss.

the playlists are coming. But was kind of disappointed to only see 1 map. Whatever though.

With a full team of 4 it’s gotta be a blast! Most of the time I end up going into the Arena Lobby by myself and it’s become a brutal/humbling experience.
I avoid the 4v4 playlist. They aren’t worth playing unless you have a team of four. But I absolutely love love FFA now. It’s almost as good and fun as it was back in the H2/3 days. Challenging skillful play. BTB can be fun at times as well.
I enjoy it, even if I’m outnumbered. I like to at least see how good I can do, even if I don’t win.

I can empathize with the poor connections and quitting, but not the req points.
People used to play Halo games for no other reason than because it was fun. You didn’t earn anything at all. That should be why you play Halo. Reqs should be nothing more than icing on the cake.

Yea, I try to avoid Arena without a part of 4.
ill play swat solo, because you can sort of carry your team.
I won’t play anything else solo though, usually just go into Warzone if I’m by myself
I’m a big fan of BTB. I’ll usually switch between BTB, breakout, and arena to keep things fresh.

^ good point about the Reqs, I should probably take a look at my motivations for getting into Arena.
i get wrecked 60% of the time in arena, halo stresses me out.

I try and stick to Warzone. Arena just isn’t that much fun anymore and it’s really unfortunate that I say that. I love the smaller maps that 343 has created, but since I only have Diamond/Onyx ranks, I have to go into super try hard mode to even have a shot at winning. Plus, I hate that my ranks will reset after every month. It just feels like I’m wasting my time. As for BTB, the maps just don’t interest me anymore. I wish many more of the classic BTB maps like Valhalla and Blood Gulch would come back. However, when Infection comes back, I will definitely play Arena again.

Eh, sorta.
Been pretty ragey lately.
There are good days and there are some very, very bad days.
I’ll play BTB on occasion. The only ranked I’ll play is FFA for 10 games for the seasonal rank, and even then I’m focused more on commendations than rank.
I’m old and bad at everything else.

The ranks reset is pointless.
I had 0 placement matches in Team Arena. All 10 games were against teams of Onyx and Diamonds.
I placed Diamond 4. It’s not a big deal that I played against them, but my point is it still matches me against them (instead of matching me with other people in placement matches).
So why reset the ranks in the 1st place?
Honestly, it makes me not care for ranks anymore. I play it because it fun. Wich is good still I guess.
