Is anything going to be done about quitters?

It’s complete BS. You PUNISH people for finishing the match by dropping our scores when team members quit. You either need to disable CSR for unmatched teams, or force boot someone on the other team when someone quits. There’s no reason to play this crap. I’m sick of being top scorer only to get my rank lowered due to quitters.

Well, I will say they are definitely banning people, after they quit a couple games its like a 4 hour ban and it just keeps increasing in time. However, they same applies to being booted for a betrayal and my friend with cerebral palsy accidentally started a game throwing a grenade that killed all 4 of us because of his CP and then boom, 4 hour ban…

Quitters lose CSR for quitting and repeat quitters will get matchmaking and I believe game bans if they continue

Worst solution…ever.

Well here are the banhammer functionalities in Halo 5, which to my knowledge is active now, but the worst thing about is that a lot of folks just don’t care.

Agreed. Why should someone else get penalized.

Just go in with a full team and if you are alone play FFA or warzone.

I haven’t really had an issue with quitters in Halo 5. In the MCC, that is a different story. Seems like 8 of 10 matches in the MCC have people quitting.

How is it a penalty? Just balance the teams and let the last guy find another match. No penalty. Do you have a better solution? Or you think 4v2 and 4v3 is fair?

Warzone is the worst mode in this game.

If the “solution” to quitters is “go in with a full team”, then they need to disable matchmaking.

So you think 4v3, 4v2 and 4v1 is better? You think that’s fair/balanced?

You’re just answering their criticism with another criticism, to a position they may not hold. Just because force booting is a bad solution doesn’t mean they think the status quo is fair.

Invalidating matches that are unbalanced seems fair. Still reward XP, RP and commendations for finishing, but leave CSR and W/L unaffected, and if it’s a qualifying match don’t count it.

is there no current punishment like in games past for leaving a game early? there should be rewards for being top tier on the losing team rather than a full team evaluation.

So if I have important work calls that I have to take, and I get booted by the game several times, than a temporary multiplayer game ban goes into effect against me?

I suppose that’s one more reason for me to not play HALO5 multiplayer anymore, nor buy 343 games in the future.

NEWSFLASH 343: Not every gamer has countless hours of free time to spend playing your game or any other.

Then don’t go into a ranked game if you know you might have to leave and let others suffer for it. Them banning you seems unfair to you, but you leaving the games probably seems unfair to the other 3 people on your team.

Also, I feel like this is worse in the 10 games you have to play before you get placed in a rank because people don’t want the loss, so if it seems like the other team is gonna destroy, they just leave. Happened to me last game and it ended up being 2v4 and I got annihilated. I feel like if one or two people on your team quit first, they should get the ban, but then the remaining players should then be able to back out without getting punished for it. I didn’t quit that last game in fear of the banhammer, but it was in no way, shape, or form fun.

That’s not 343’s problem, and neither your team’s problem to care about. Other people’s experience shouldn’t be ruined by your poor inconvenience.

The ban hammer is in effect quiters take a big csr hit and you take a softer hit the worse the situation it is for you, if you win by some miracle thats an auto big boost.

I agree with you.

Like I said, it’s one more reason that shows how 343 intended for HALO5 multiplayer to be played by pro gamers, not casual gamers like myself.

One way to fix will be by timeout. If a person dies while ones team is out numbering it will remain in timeout until the next person dies, then they will be allow to spawn and the person who just die will take its place on the timeout until next person dies and so on. Yet this will ruin the playing experience for the team with all its members but at least it will be a little more balanced.
