alright, so I was looking at my req spreadsheet (yes I made a spreadsheet) to see how many reqs I have left, I saw that I need to get 115 more gold packs left to get my remaining items. seeing this reminded me that this game will probably be almost obsolete when halo 6 will come out. I just cant see this game holding on to players when halo 6 is out, NO ONE will be coming back for the campaign, there were only two new game modes breakout(which they butchered), and warzone ( which will almost indefinitely be in halo 6), and in the terms of other feature which they brought to halo 5 there is the awesome forge (which will probably just be copy and pasted in 6 with maby a small change here and there (maby even compatible as it does not really need any improvenments) and the custom-game browser which the community will be outraged if it is not included in 6. I just dont see any real reason to come back once 6 is out.

Source for this? We have little to no information on Halo 6 yet.
Probably not. No disrespect to the game here, but if halo 6 allows offline play than I dont really have much incentive to go back.
I think he worded it oddly for the less than a year comment. I think he meant H5 will be obsolete less than a year after H6 is out. At least I hope. It would be over a year and half if H6 came out in November 2018.
For your question, this game will most likely be uninstalled if I end up getting H6 and liking it.

There was an article ages ago about halo 6 coming at the earliest at the end of 2018.If there is nothing on it at E3 then it’s 2019.
No. There’s no reason. I like Halo 5, but can’t wait to see what Halo 6 will be like.
If you can get at least 1 gold pack a day that is only 115 days. That’s only a little under 4 months. I think you’ll be fine

Isn’t it due to be released November 2018? So based on the trend, we can expect around early 2019. And if they make a Halo Wars 3, that might be 2021, 20 years after the first Halo game. Wowza.
Well I’ve got all the achievements for 5, so I don’t think I will go back to it when 6 drops. However I still need to play other Halo titles to get their achievements.
I’d only if it was similar to 5 in gameplay, had major refinements and allowed me to carry over one set of armour.
I made a oath to sell all my reqs if halo 6 does everything halo 5 does but better, but if it’s gameplay is different enough from halo 5 then I’ll head back to halo 5 once in a while to get some of the original gameplay.
Depends I guess… I’ll still give playing it a shot but it definitely won’t be as populated as 6, unless the newcomer is a total disaster and we should all hope it isn’t. People still play Reach, and the MCC (despite its many flaws), so I don’t see why 5 would be any different. Smaller population, but not entirely barren.
When Halo Reach came out, I still played Halo 3.
When Halo 4 came out, I still played Halo Reach.
When Halo 5 came out, I didn’t really play Halo 4 after that because I was too lazy to switch consoles. I also enjoy playing Halo 5 more than I did playing Halo 4. And I LOVED Halo 4.
I’m assuming I will come back and play Halo 5 once Halo 6 is out as they’re on the same console. But… if Halo 6 doesn’t have Warzone. I’ll be coming back to Halo 5 quite a bit more.
Halo 5 will likely still have a ton of people playing custom games. I’d definitely come back for that every so often, at least until the community manages to create a robust library of custom maps and modes for people to mess around with in Halo 6.
I most likely will not come back to Halo 5 if they include sweet armors and FULL CUSTOMIZATION of your Spartan in Halo 6. Likewise, I have a feeling the story will be better in 6 along with gameplay refinements. I mean, logically speaking, Halo 6 should include everything at release that took Halo 5 nearly a whole year and a half to release. Halo 6 should be a more complete game at release and gameplay should only be refined. In addition, it’ll have SPLIT-SCREEN! Halo 6 may sound too good to be true, but all 343i has to do is take Halo 5 and improve the things the community didn’t like. So with all these ideas in mind, Halo 6 should be more akin to Halo 3’s level of success and refinements to an already established formula and it’s mechanics. Simply put, Halo 6 is rumored to have split-screen, a better story, (hopefully) a blended art style as seen in Halo Wars 2 and generally more content than Halo 5 had at release. If all these rumors prove true, Halo 6 should blow both Halo 4 and 5 out of the water. Thus implementing no reason to return to Halo 5.

What cheevos? Helioskrill is available (a big FU to those that earned it) without completing 1-4 on legendary. What else is there? Timmy or the like? LOL. They’re not even giving it out. They say they are and say they will but they don’t keep their word…when it suits them.
So, H6 in late 18 or early 19? Yeah, I’ll play it and I’ll probably like it enough to not play 5 anymore (knock on wood…assuming they don’t completely f it up.)
For me though this is contingent upon them not putting me off entirely before that happens. I’m all about the bottom line but when you tell your base x is x… it had better be an x. Likewise, when you say something will be available in game in y time after certain cheevos then you need to do it. i’m talking about timmy. i’m talking about matchmaking not being Menke’s personal tweak on ELO behind the scenes and more of something that is openly understood and quantifiable in game. those are the biggest offenders to me. this is 2017 after all.
there is a least a small chance these types of things will be crowded out prior to '18 or '19 by a game or games that don’t put you through those things.
Probably not… But I will still attempt to go back to MCC from time to time.
no no no no no heck no no no no!
Most likely not. The only reason I return to the MCC is because of campaign and split screen with my friends. I will most likely love halo 6’s MP, so there’s no reason to come back. Also, halo 6 will most likely be an improvement over halo 5 in every way, so that’s another reason.
Only if halo 6 has CQB armor… yes
Took them over a year, and me asking since halo 4 to get it.
We got it, although missing paint (no black cheeks?)
