Halo reachs was ridiculously easier compared to past halos (except h2), and this is even easier?
The rockets are even stronger than reachs which is lame too. Dont get me wrong halo 3s rockets were way too weak, but reachs were to strong.
Thoughts?

I’m extremely mad because I’m sick of snipers in Reach. You get sniped constantly anywhere you go and it’s extremely annoying. Most playlists, especially Big Team Battle, would be better without any sniper rifles.
I wish it was harder so those noobs who use the sniper rifle constantly every game wouldn’t be able to use it as well as they could in Reach.
Yeah, I was weirded out when they said that the sniper was even easier to use. I didn’t know it could get easier than Reach’s one.

I agree its way too easy, the only thing i liked about the reachs is that the back-of-the-head shots actually counted. That beings aid, you could hit their shoulderblades and itd give you a headshot which is dumb.
You guise got teh hal0 4 alreadys?
Wait until you play the game. Than judge it.
… how do you know the sniper rifle is easier to use, and that the rockets are more powerful than reach?
All we’ve seen is a couple films, in which not a single person showed particularly impressive skills with either of those weapons, and a paragraph from 3 separate people whom all had different opinions.
Hmph. The Sniper and Rocket Launcher are more powerful, and easier to use. But you forgot to mention the fact that We Will NOT Be playing on Halo: Reach’s Maps. These are different maps, and the way the Players will have to use the weapons is going to change. You won’t see a Sniper in the far corner of Hemorrhage, for example. And the Rockets will be easier to use so you don’t waste time or ammo considering how hard it’s going to be to get such weapon on the new maps.
Um maybe a direct quote from frankie? Thats pretty reliable.

Theres not a sentence in this that you didnt pull out of ur ***, i know mines not that factual but its atleast a direct quote from frankie.
If I were you, OP, I wouldn’t put too much stock into the developers’ comments. On some of the weapons, they seemed to have completely opposing opinions on their feel and strength. Don’t draw any conclusions just yet.

Then maybe should actually use the quote next time.
Pulled all three straight from the bulletin
Frank - Sits for me, right between Reach and Halo 2 in terms of ease of use. I basically couldn’t snipe at all in Halo 3, other than swipe-sniping, so this is a great feeling weapon for my campy style, but I am frequently defeated by DMR players if I get spotted quickly enough.
Note how frank does not use the word easier to use, also notice that this is only Franks opinion that doesn’t make it true.
David - I have to be honest, I still haven’t been able to get the hang of this version of the Sniper Rifle, but, if I’m being honest, I never really got the hang of any previous iteration either. The new sound of the gunblast as the bullet breaks the sound barrier is incredibly rewarding, but pinpoint aiming is necessary for dispatching folks at extreme distances.
Chris - The UNSC Sniper Rifle feels really, REALLY powerful this time around. I went back and tried the Halo 3 and Reach Sniper rifles a few weeks back and was surprised how much more visceral ours felt. I think the big changes causing this are the new sound FX and the firing recoil (resets back to center after each shot). The recoil makes it a bit harder to line up again between shots but we have adjusted the accuracy and aim assist to help compensate. Overall, I find that I can be more successful with our Sniper Rifle than I could with the Halo 3 or Reach ones so it’s probably a tad bit easier to use.
I think I will just take a wait and see approach to this.
Hmm… I’m not too thrilled about an easier sniper.
Lets hope these purpose built maps will make sure things won’t be abused. Like sitting in a corner and sniping everyone across the map. Default Sprint should help… but it could still be annoying.

So each of them agrees its easier…
1 says its easier to use
1 says he has difficulty sniping with it, buts its been like that with every sniper
1 says more aim assist, and easier all around.
Thats 2 for easier and 1 for neutral/no oppinion.
Yes but chris states that there is recoil along with aim assist so it evens out.
> Um maybe a direct quote from frankie? Thats pretty reliable.
Link us to the quote. Merely saying “Frankie said it” doesn’t quite cut it.
And I couldn’t tell the difference between the Reach sniper and the Halo 3 sniper. I fully believe that’s just people hating on Reach.
I’m happy that weapons like the sniper rifle and rocket launcher will have to be ordinance dropped in. I think that this is really going to help gameplay since it won’t be in a certain spawn location and things like the score and overall team morale will have a bigger shift with ordinance drops.
As for the individual sniper rifle from the UNSC Weapons video they just released I think it looks pretty good. Of course I won’t be able to tell if I am any good at it until I get my hands on it.
Agreed, It’s way to easy to snipe in Reach. I’ve been no-scooped too many times than normal. Hopefully, in H4 it’s a bit more harder.

I don’t see how “in between H2 and Reach” means that it is easier to use than Reach. If Reach is the easiest game to snipe in, and the sniper is a mix between Reach and another game, that means that it can only have gotten more difficult. Common Sense.
I died by the halo reach sniper so much it’s ridiculous. It’s almost like everyone has a mod for it.
