With the amount of stupid crap 343 have added to please fans from other shooters, they’ve left veterans in the mud. I don’t really care if you’re a vet and like it, i’m a vet too and I hate it, as do many others.
I’m hoping for…
A proper classic playlist, not rushed, well thought out. I don’t want to “adapt” to this “Halo of Duty”, I want to play what I payed for, Halo.
Race re-included, and custom game options expanded.
Decent Spartan-Ops missions or firefight brought back. So far Spartan-Ops is just recycled bits from the campaign, with little to no replay value, limited cliche dialogue and boring repetitive mission-objectives.
Assuming none of this happens and 343 seems content with Halo of Duty and their new fan-base of troglodyte 12 year-olds, i’m going to ditch Halo and go play Team Fortress.
So sick of seeing things like this. If you are that nostalgic and can’t fathom change, then you need to go back and play Halo 3 or Halo: Reach. 343 needed to take a step-forward or Halo 4 just would have been a re-skinned Halo 3. Do you want that? Do you want the SAME game but with better graphics? I’m going to assume not.
Veterans weren’t left in the mud. Veterans get stuck in the mud because they can’t get over the fact that every new game leaves them “betrayed”. Veterans aren’t the center of the universe, as much as they think they are. I’ve been in this franchise since Halo: CE and love every step that they have taken. Sure, it takes a while to adapt to, but it’s better than having the SAME elements of multiplayer over and over again.

You’d be better off going back to something half decent like Goldeneye or Perfect Dark…
If you don’t want to adapt then don’t play it, Halo 3 is exactly what you want so 343 shouldn’t waste their time to cater to people who have already got what they want.
In my mind, Halo is more similar to CoD then it is now if it doesn’t change with each instalment.
Sorry bud… I think this is by far one of the best Halos. Better than three and on par with H2 and CE. It needs some tweaks, but I love this game, and I’m a 22 year old “vet.” Being condescending doesn’t really help you’re argument either. Despite the problems, this has been the smoothest online launch I can remember for Halo. H2 launched with a very powerful magnum, and it took about 5 melees to kill someone, and H3 launched with the most terrible melee system of all time. People always seem to forgot just how much tweaking can be done through future TU’s. All I see as necessary is possibly lowering the ROF on the DMR a bit. The only change they made that I don’t like is not being kicked out of zoom when hit, but it’s really not that big of an issue.
I will check back in if they add a decent classic list. Our voices are drowning in a sea of angsty pubescent nerdstank. Nothing we can do now but hope.

This. This so much I can’t even explain.
Call me a Veteran, but I like all the Halo games and the EVOLUTION of the series. I don’t want to fork over $60 for the game I already paid $60 for. You want old maps, old gameplay, old weapons, go play the old games. Don’t force your old ways on the new games thinking it will be the better and more profitable game. It won’t.
I don’t want a Firefight like Spartan Ops. Firefight was so boring. Wave after wave of the same stuff. It got pretty boring fast. I like having different missions and a story to keep everything interesting
My OP, one of the best Halo’s yet but I agree with him a bit. The MP is finnaly good for once and not an arena shooter but it still needs a classic playlist with a few gametypes. There also needs to be more custom options. I dont see why you guys want to play the same game every year and comparing it to COD. If Halo 4 was like COD, they wouldnt have changed anything and kept it the same and just had better graphics and new guns. Halo 4 is nothing like COD, I love COD but the two are completely different. Im glad Halo 4 is different. The original Halo’s couldnt survive on the Market becuase honestly, no-one plays campaign anymore, its all MP, and again my OP, all the other Halo MP sucked and was only suported for a small time before modders came into Halo 3 and Reach. So to survive, Halo had to change and it sucks to see a game have to change to survive on the market but Halo 4 made changes for the better.
Brothers (and sisters) I have made multiple posts on other threads explaining our need to rise against the likes of this!

> Honestly, yes. If Halo 5 just shipped with a new Campaign and Halo 1’s multiplayer, then I would be ecstatic.
Nothing makes me more ecstatic than paying $60 for the same game twice! Whoop!
