Is anyone as salty as I am?

Is anyone else here as salty as I am about Halo 5? I mean, I bought it when it first came out. I think it was like $49.99, but now I see that Halo 5 is now FREE with a $9.99 Gamepass??? I’m pretty salty about that.

Xbox Game Passes will only last for so long; you’ll get better value if you opt for a 1-year subscription to Xbox Live Gold.

Nope, not at all. And I paid more than $49.99 for my pre-order of the Limited Edition. Part of that reason is because I have no interest in a monthly subscription to Game Pass and the other parts are that I’ve been happy with owning the Limited Edition since release; plus, I just enjoy the game. I’m actually glad Halo 5 is apart of the Game Pass because it makes the game more available to a wider audience and hopefully it can tempt new players to enjoy the game/franchise.

So many flavors and you choose to be salty.

Not really, let them have their fun now.

Halo 5 is free so long as you have Game Pass. So after a month, it’ll cost another $9.99. After 24 months, you’ll have paid $240 dollars for Game Pass, where if you just wanted Halo 5, you could have spent $60 and have it forever. And you’ll still need Xbox Live Gold to play the multiplayer parts of games in Game Pass.

So, to play the same amount of time through Game Pass would cost more. So you kind of ended up saving. Congrats.

No. It’s free, but you would’ve had to wait two plus years in order to play it if you were waiting for it to be free.

That’s not really free then, is it? Chimera30 is right, you should be thankful you saved money in the long run, and you actually get to own the game you purchased.

“Oh no, other people will get to play games I play too!”

Meh.

Nope not salty, a bit sour but not salty

If you bought a physical copy you can also let friends and family borrow the game as many times as you want. Take it over to a friend’s house (provided you’re both patient enough to wait for the patch to download) or even sell it when you no longer want it.
Not really an answer to what you were saying, but definitely something to consider.

Unless you bought it digitally. In which case…
(o_O )

If it’s free for $9.99, then it technically isn’t free. That’s like going to your local McDonald’s and seeing a sign that says, “Get the Big Mac, now FREE for $5.99!”

Damn, you beat me to it!

No im not salty

Bought H5 straight up. No game pass pleb trickery to deal with.

Not free lol. But you are getting more games out of the game pass, but still not free xD

You could compare the game pass to Netflix or Hulu. You could watch a wide variety of movies for a small monthly fee, or you could buy them all individually. Nobody’s whining about how they own ‘Jaws’ on DVD and people are apparently watching it for ‘free’ on Netflix, thus being unfair.

I bought the 90 dollar version of destiny 2,so I have it worse

You paid $49.99 to have it forever. Game pass costs $10 monthly so people would only have it 5 months. I don’t understand at all why you’re salty lol.

I am not salty about buying games at launch but now I wait for them to be half off.

By this logic, I watch tons of movies and shows for free on Netflix, because I’ve paid $10 for it.

I bought the legendary edition of Halo 5 at release and I’m still playing it to this day so no. I feel like I definitely got my money’s worth.
