I have always loved the BR and use it all the time but find that sometimes i get outdone by a DMR, so i decided to give the DMR a go and was shocked at how easy it was to use. It seems like you can destroy people within secounds and im constantly out DMR people who use the BR. For this reason i was woundering if the comunity thought the DMR to be a noob wepon of choice.
I love the DMR,
But I do concede that the magnetism and Kill Time is OP.
That said, a good player with a DMR will beat a novice with a DMR.

But only just.
Not at all. It IS the most effective precision weapon in general, but that hardly means that it is skilless. It is just poorly balanced.

Guns drawn at noon on an open plain, I am apt to agree. However, in the battlefield, a good DMR user canes a novice.
At present, yes. I can’t wait for June 3 to make people throw their controller through their TV when I school them with the Carbine.
Anyone who has been deliberately using other weapons and sacrificing their K/D since launch to get commendations is going to be a hell of a lot better when the DMR gets nerfed.
As long as Aim Assist & Bullet Magnetism exist, there will be no skill required to use ANY weapon.
No… you read my post correctly.
Yes. I’ve been using it a lot lately (just for the commendation, mind you. :P), and it is ridiculously OP. I feel so bad for using it.

No skill? really?
So a 2 two old could reel off head shots in Halo 4 then?
Aim assist is necessary to counter the imprecise nature of console controllers.
I believe that it is the amount of assist that is proving to be an issue with some.
PC Counter Strike would be almost unplayable with a controller.

I’d really like to see anyone play with Aim assist and bullet magnetism completely disabled.

Hehehe,
So easy a caveman could do it
> I’d really like to see anyone play with Aim assist and bullet magnetism completely disabled.
I can do this.
No, really… I can.
Depends on how you look at it I suppose. Since I’ve started using the BR I consider the DMR an inferior weapon.
I’m not right obviously. There are certain things that help people with using the DMR…such as the broken balance. But regardless of that it is still a superior weapon.
Yes, it is a noob gun.
> Yes, it is a noob gun.
Yeah, just like every other gun in this game…
-_-
Can someone define “noob gun”?

Light Rifle is closest to this, Light Rifle is the best gun ever

I play (PC) Counterstrike and Quake on Xbox without aim assist. Aim assist is not necessary for everyone. It is necessary for many though, and it helps create a flow in the game you wouldn’t have without it.
It is a lot harder to kill someone without it which furthers the battles for a bit. Yet if you have played console long enough, you will achieve the kill after some time, and not necessarily so much later than if you had aim assist.
I feel that aim assist is a necessary feature to have in Halo, but Halo 4 has way too much of it.
The Lightrifle owns the DMR at range. Any auto owns the DMR in CQC. Make a loadout with Firepower using the LR and your auto of choice. I prefer the Storm Rifle, but any of 'em do the job. You will be a threat at any range and the DMR will NOT be an issue.

I used to use the Storm Rifle but I have greater success with suppressor, the LR is so good with an automatic to back you up
