is a $200 / £180 controller worth it?

i mean, don’t these break after like, a year usually?

otherwise, if you where gonna get a mint collectable from this halo, why not a statue?

although i tend to get the $20 ~ $30 controllers, those do tend to develop some wear, maybe elite has better materials?

I have never had a good experience with elite controllers. Neither have my friends. I’ll be passing on this one.

Considering it’s sold out already, no.

I’ve had my Elite Series 2 for 2.5 years now and it’s going strong. I may or may not have gotten the limited edition one because I have no impulse control however.

its because its halo themed, elites do break easily, and thats an understatement

I was holding out hope there would be an Elite 3.0, but looks like it’s the 2.0 for now. I’ve read stories about the quality of the controller, but if you get a 3 year warranty from whichever retailer I think you will be fine.

I’m surprised they’re releasing a new Series 2 Elite controller but didn’t add the share button that’s on the current Xbox Series X controllers. The button on the Elite controllers that looks like the share button is actually to change between saved controller profiles. Figured they would have a Series 3 to add the share button to be on the same plane as the regular Series X controllers but I guess not.

I got an elite series 2 for Christmas 2019. After about 8 months the RB button quit working. After going through a process they did replace the controller for free. Last month the replacement’s RB button has quit working. Now it is out of warranty they will fix it for $100. Yeah that’s not going to happen. I am going to try a service on eBay from electronics company that will fix it for $30. My friends got stick drift in about 4 months. As far as the quality I do not think they are any different from the regular controllers. It does feel nice and the extra buttons work pretty good and help a bit.

I think I’ve owned four Xbox controllers; an original one, a 360 one, a One one and now an s/x one. I’m not tempted.

Im going to wait like a year to get one i think, the standard controller is expensive, that elite is going to be waaay overpriced by re-sellers

Does anyone know if the controller is going to have the dynamic latency imput? It has made a difference for me on H5 firefight. I am using the series x regular controller instead of my elite series one.

Had Elite 1 and the plastic falls after a while and had Elite 2 that fell apart inside, replacement was given seems to have controller ‘drift’ sometimes so not sure I can recommend a LE version of Elite 2 controller. Despite that the controllers usually feel a lot better than the standard ones plus they tend to have a pretty good battery too.
