I personally didn’t notice much of a difference. What do you guys think, lower it more? 75-80%?
Nah, 85% bloom prevents the cone of fire from enlarging to a “spam size” wherein spamming is better, and it also keeps pacing shots in a firefight a matter of skill.
Why not 0%? If you’re using bloom to slow down the kill times somewhat through inconsistencies, then you’re using bloom in a way similar to original default Reach.
Just stick it on 0% in every playlist and leave it there.
Lower it to 0.
This again. You know that wont happen.
It won’t, but it should.

I don’t think bloom was made to only slow kill times.
I also think ZB makes head shots way too easy. The RoF is the main issue. Slow the rate of fire and I would love ZB.
85% doesn’t feel much different from normal bloom slayer, other than being a bit faster. The problem is, the lower bloom goes, the faster people spam. Only when it hits zero does the spamming hit max but you also have to be precise with every shot. 85% is fine* as it is, but zero would be best so long as they put a cap on fire rate and put a tiny bit of recoil in so spamming isn’t too bad at all. I think that would be best.
*For a gametype with bloom

^Fixed.

Lower the bloom anymore, It would be just like Zero bloom. Just a visual bloom. The only thing that might have bloom would be the pistol.
85% is perfect. Just a few modifications to the gametype are all it needs.
It would be nice if we could modify bloom in customs to see for sure what we like.

85% just makes the problem of spamming worse. It has to be reduced to 0%.
Lower it more and it becomes the same as 0% bloom. Would reset faster than the guns can fire.

Good.

Movement speed isn’t the main issue. I have played many customs with 120% movement. Head shots are just too easy. The RoF needs to be limited.

But only if the RoF is lowered.
Keep in mind that with ZB the DMR becomes the most accurate and/or dominate non power weapon in the entire Halo series. Even more so than the CE magnum.

You musn’t have been playing with people who knew how to strafe…Reducing the RoF wouldn’t make a headshot harder to pull off anyhow. It slows kill times, nothing more.

Fast RoF makes head shots very easy. You get so many attempts at it. Look at it like this, while under direst The NR is the easiest to get head shots with, then the DMR, then the sniper. Slower the RoF the most discipline the weapon takes.
Also, I never found strafing to affect my aim at all really. Not in CE, Halo 2, or Halo 3. I’ve spent enough time in fast FPS that Halo always seemed slow. That said, I played a bunch of 1v1s with a very skilled player. Head shot seemed too easy for both of us.
Edit: I do think it’s funny how so many insist that something has to be up with the games I’ve played. Because ZB can’t possibly be easier.
I have good aim. Give me Halo’s most accurate non power weapon and it may not just feel too easy for me, it might actually be too easy. ZB=free head shots fro all.

No. ZB= Free headshots for good players who can headshot strafing enemies and a punishment for players who can’t strafe and aim at the same time. It creates a skill gap, something Reach has been missing since day one.
