Is 343i listening?

Is 343i listening? Many say no. I say yes. How many posts on this thread say “343i gives empty promises” or “343i has killed my franchise, R.I.P Halo”. I assure you, they are listening.
Last week, MLG dropped Halo from its circuit. This was a sore spot for Halo’s “Underground” fan base populace. Halo had in-game CSR. Halo never had strafing. Halo never had sprint. Halo is THE game that holds most Xbox Live activity even against new releases like the influential franchise, Gears of War. Halo sits at 4th place now, even after 2 months of release, while Halo 2 and 3 held 1st for years. My friends, your franchise is not butchered. I am not aware of the date, but some time ago, 343i brought on Bravomlg, an experienced Halo veteran, who was more than ecstatic to work with them. Is everyone aware for demands of a classic playlist? Not a lot of people even know Bravo was brought on. Your classic playlist is coming. CSR is viewable only on Waypoint, phones and tablets. Better than nothing. Our entire fan base complained about the maps in this game. Community Forge Test answered that call. If these maps are well received(which they are) they will be implemented into Matchmaking. The TU is going to fix bugs. Though I’m not sure, this could be for balancing Boltshots and DMRs.
See the signs? 343i is listening. Though the fate of Forge options and Custom Games is unknown, I bet we’ll get an answer soon.
Is 343i giving empty promises? No. Is Halo dead now? No. 343i has stated before, “we’re just getting started”(on trying to fix and continue the Reclaimer Trilogy and franchise, not butcher it). Is 343i listening? That’s up to you. What do YOU think?
Sorry for the wall of text!

I stopped ready early on but yes they are listening ppl just complain because they weren’t working on the game over Christmas and new years to spend some time away from improving this game

True. They couldn’t even check the forums because they were with their families. So 3 weeks of time to answer gone, and no one noticed. Wow.

They maybe listening, but that doesn’t mean that all the new features are a bad idea.

This all over the dumb pesimistic kids face’s!

I think they were listening all along; what took so long for us to get from them was a response to all the dismay.

I don’t think they listen to the community at all. They screwed up on everything pre-launch and continue to this day in my opinion. The limited edition was a joke, all these stupid armor pieces are a waste of time. The server’s going down awhile back with no comment from 343 on what was happening. The AA’s suck, the weapons are unbalanced. The maps have so style to them. Forge map’s suck period. We want Halo like it was meant to be, sure they can upgrade some things on it but the basic things that made the game so loved by many needs to be there and Halo 4 just doesn’t have it at this point. They wanted to make this their way and that was it. It’s a cross between Halo and COD. We want a visible CSR, Make Spartans look like Spartans, no AA’s. Put back in power up’s and heavy weapons spawn on the map and you go fight for them, not have them drop at your side the whole game.

Nah that’s not it. People are upset that promises were made and not kept etc. If you ship a shoddy product, you’re responsible and you don’t deserve a holiday vacation when you should be fixing the problem.

I am glad you said that it was your opinion, but that’s all it is. We all have one. Personally I like the game. Changes and all. Still feels like Halo to me and I feel like the AA’s, loadouts and ordinance drops force you to play smarter. You can’t just rush in and hope for the best. If things don’t go as planned, you don’t have to fight with a teammate for a weapon that would help you out, you just change your loadout. Teamwork still wins battles every single time.

The fact is that 343 IS listening. They are being more active on the forums after their vacation, which was well earned. Little bit of a rocky launch, but a holiday vacation couldn’t be avoided with the release time as it was.

Oh, and they are working on customs options (I would imagine Forge too but no specific word has been given that I know of). Bs Angel posted in the large customs thread that each things has to be tested individually and that always takes a lot of time. Have to make sure changing something doesn’t cause a game-breaking glitch to happen. But, they are at least checking it out.

Yes, yes, yes. We know about that stuff.

But, the remaining Halo fans that play the game and post here on these forums know that certain features are coming. But, certain people can only wait for so long and are starting to loose patience.

Patience involving features that should have been included or available to use at the launch of the game. No one likes waiting and many users have expressed that. Seriously just look at the online population.

Listening? A lot of us didn’t want forge maps forced on us on every playlist, they put the playlist on so it can force people to pick the best so they can later force them into the other playlists later.

Listened? Did they remove the dmr/boltshot/scattershot, the stupid loadouts? no, did they improve the forge options? no.

The only single thing they seemed to listened to was less reycled levels in spartan ops, that changed in episode 6 to only 1 map doing it, now we have to wait for episodes 7-10 to find out if they really did. Did they add the visible rank system like the one from halo 2/3? No, instead they plan to make it only visible to the players themselves, waypoint which be somewhat pointless to the people that want to see in-game.

If 343. listened they would have given us a public beta last summer.

Right now, it feels like we’re playing a beta.

A three month long beta that this February title update will either make or break the game for many people.

I know people who don’t even like certain other shooters very much but would rather play them than Halo 4.

Yes it’s my opinion along with many many others here. That’s great you like it, never said I didn’t. None of that stuff make’s you play smarter, just the opposite. Instant respawn’s, infinite camp with unlimited sniper ammo with your drop’s. Over powered weapons for camper’s. Real teamwork is without all these added things, Previous Halo’s took teamwork to win. I don’t know how long you have been playing Halo but doesn’t sound like long if you think this is Halo. Glad you have an opinion but it’s in the minority. A majority want to see changes to bring it back to what it should be and still can be.

yes they are listening and doing what we want…may god help us all…

I gave up with Halo 4 this weekend and put it up for sale, by saturday it will be gone for good, my patience rang out, 343i have really cocked up and the series has turned to poo, spartan ops is over hyped, MP is full of hackers, boosters and glitchers, and is really boring no matter what gametype you play, the numbers are getting lower and lower by the day, only America is saving the game as always, once they have gone to bed, hardly anyone in Europe is online.

I played Halo since day one on the original XBOX and now I have decided to turn my back on it once and for all, the damage has been done but it doesn’t matter as they have made their money anyhow and people will buy the next two games because it is Halo, even if it is poo, just like COD.
