I have used my fair share of Challenge Swaps, and I have never encountered the challenge I swapped out in the same week.
So if you swap out one of the 4 active challenges (Ithink it’s 4) with one of the challenges from the Upcoming list, that swapped out challenge is gone forever? I’m actually curious because I have never used a swap.
Yeah, someone else quoted one of the devs in here. I really wish I had read that quote before trying to swap out the challenges.
As much as I rather enjoyed the Tenrai event, I do think that event challenges should remain seperate from the weekly ones.
I haven’t actually documented this (someone probably has, but I’ll check later), but what I think happens is the challenge that is swapped gets replaced with one not on your list. I haven’t really given it much thought because I have just, well, used them, lol. But it is intriguing.
It’s not really fair that this HCS event gimmick isn’t mentioned in game at all to avoid situations like this.
I feel for you and those wasted swaps.
I’m pretty sure they don’t go away, they just go back into the “upcoming” rotation.
when i heard that all i was thinking is “your going to give me teammates that dont even want to be there” how am i gonna get past diamond 5 with gold teammates vs ONYX stacks.
They do go away. You can press Y on the controller while on the current challenge screen to see your upcoming challenges. The upcoming list was unaffected by challenge swaps when I looked at it.
Doesn’t mean you can’t get one that’s in the upcoming challenges list or that it won’t show up if you swap again. I did “complete 4 ranked matches” two times this week. And I got it while it was already on the upcoming list. Don’t know if you can get duplicates on the active list though.
In case anyone is wondering - the ultimate challenge this week ist to win 5 ranked matches.
Yeah, I wasted 5 challenge swaps, I hate that the only choices are to not play or suffer ranked. Then I have to Hope I get a match with the specific game mode and then have to win that game mode, while depending on my team to cooperate. But in the end, my thoughts don’t matter.
