I always wonder if devs from 343i are actually here posting in response to our questions about halo 5, but are in disguise as typical community members.
I have seen a few announcements from 343I but i don’t recall any official responses from you; I have seen monitors offer their opinions on certain topics but from my understanding they are not actually affiliated with the development of halo5 only here to keep the forum clean; therefore many problems or issues go officially unanswered.
also were does popular ideas and suggestions go such as sprint topics, halo too much like cod topics, and spawn killing farmers topics? should these popular topics be pinned so people would not incidentally, keep posting new similar threads like those everyday? Keep in mind, most of those type threads are created because they were interested to hear 343i’s response.

They don’t really ever comment on here because Halo Waypoint as a whole is literal cancer. 90% of the posts are people complaining about not having a Falcon (which wasn’t confirmed at all) or just things non constructive in general. I completely understand why they would rather stay away from it unless they absolutely have to post something.

There was a forum about a victory pose that seemed “too sexual”. The Game Director of Overwatch responded, and of course the press followed. They were going to remove it anyways, and it just got unneeded attention. The “problems” that I see the most have to do with the game have to do with gameplay, not something insignificant like a pose. They’re not gonna change the gameplay. That’d be like buying a car, then after a year of having it, suddenly the steering wheel just disappears.

very interesting.
I could understand why if 343i employees would “lurk in the shadows” because it would be like a unicorn fish showing his face up at a fisherman’s hole.

This, most of the waypoint community is whiny -Yoinks!- that cry when their favorite things from 10 year old games don’t get added. It gets old after awhile

You would also be mad if they took out something you liked, no?

They haven’t taken anything out, they just haven’t added what you want. There’s a difference. Halo 5 didn’t require anything from previous games, only what people assumed should be included. And we all know what happens when you assume.

the only Halo game that ever “took something out” was ODST with no BR or Hornet.

Well, maybe if they communicated more with the community, the community wouldn’t be that much of a “cancer” as you put it.

This.
343 lacks, heavily, in the communication department. They keep every little thing a secret, building up false hype, and if and when they do comment on something, it’s a very vague, cryptic post or they’re trolling the community.
If anyone is at fault for this community being “cancer”, it’s theirs. They do nothing to bring this community together. Everything they do just further divides it.
I don’t blame them for not being super active in the forums. They have something they created, something that they spent years working on and most of this forum is thousands of people telling you how much they dislike something you spent that much time working on.
