With all of the comments about the Halo 5 beta gameplay, everyone is saying “OH GAWD 343 KILLED HALO!”, "CALL OF HALO DESTINY GUARDIANS, “WHY ADS IN HALO?! IT"S NOT COD!”, “HALO 4.5”, “343 RUINED HALO 5!!!”, etc. I honestly think that 343 is trying to improve Halo. I really don’t care about ADS in Halo. Even though the community is going to rant about Halo 5 being like COD, I personally think 343 is trying to make Halo a better game.
I can deal with mostly everything thrown into this game, however ADS isn’t one of them. Cosmetic or not. I can’t deal with it. Seriously, you can have Armor Lock brought back and I’ll welcome it with open arms, as long as that scraps the whole idea of ADS.
The way I see it, 343 decided to change the controls and feature ADS so that any moron who enjoys FPS’s can play Halo and adapt to it using their CoD instincts or something like that. Or so it can simply looking appealing to CoD players.
Of course they’re trying to make a better, more successful game. No one just throws their livelyhood away.
Now, wether they are succeeding or not is up for debate.

Well they are trying.
They are trying, but arguably by going about things in a half–Yoinked!- way. As things stand, mostly what 343 is doing is cramming features from other games into a game and slapping the title “Halo” on it. That isn’t being creative or innovative. Real innovation comes from looking ahead of the competition into the future of the genre, like Halo CE, 2, and 3 did. Reach did not. To be fair, neither did Destiny or nearly any COD in the last four years.
Halo can continue as a franchise without looking towards the future. It will still have great games, too, and I think Halo 5 Guardians will be quite good. But Halo will never reclaim its throne as one of gaming’s premier innovators, and thus its original fame, by merely following.

343 is destroying Halo. What you think Halo 4s population of 10k peak 1 year after release is considered saving? You think ignoring 90% of fans who say sprint, AAs, and ADS need to go is saving Halo? What is wrong with you

So you would rather have something that fundamentally is broken over something that is no different than before? What kind of brilliant logic is that? Smart scope is nothing like ads, so those cod instincts won’t anybody anywhere.

I won’t say much about the matter because the simple fact is that I don’t know how Halo 5 operates or know how the game feels when it operates. I’m looking forward to the beta for the reason that I can actually say something without sounding like a whiny little kid.
Obviosuly, 343i has good intentions: They made the Master Chief Collection and are trying to listen to fan-feedback for Halo 5. Not to say that I am not worried from what I have seen of Halo 5 Guardians, but this may be a good thing. Once I can actually feel the gameplay of it, I can say more if them trying to do something good for Halo is what I think as good.
Seriously though, the beta is coming for a reason, and I doubt that it is just to fix some bugs. I believe that 343i will listen to logical (not whining and stating facts) feedback on Halo 5 and improve the game from there.
All we as fans can do right now is wait patiently until the beta, because there really isn’t much we can say without sounding like children. It does worry me and I do feel like the gameplay is somewhat inspired by Call of Duty or Titanfall from what I’ve seen, but I’m not saying that it has become a call of duty/titanfall game. I think that 343i knows that if they mess up Halo 5: Guardians, they may not have another chance, and I’m sure they aren’t going to turn Halo into Call of Duty intentionally.
Just wait and see, guys/girls. Speculation is fine right now, but is it really logical to state things right now as if they are certain facts? I would personally argue not.

Lol how slow are you? No -Yoink- there are no H5 pop numbers but H4s numbers are all we need. And since H5 looks the same as H4 expect even lower numbers

Yes!!! I want Halo to play like Halo not like every other bs cod bf game. The classic Halo forumula of no sprint,no AAs, and pure arena style has ALWAYS been successful. Now the Newgen style has failed TWICE. Only idiots think the same thing will work even though it has already failed over and over again. Classic Halo fans have provided 2 years of good criticism 343 just doesnt listen.
