I’m sure I’m not the first one to have noticed that in some select social matches the radar range is set to 40m and not the normal 18m. This really throws me off, and I don’t know any reason why they would be changing something like that so randomly unless they are gathering data on how games with a wider range play out. Thoughts?
Noticed it too and it annoys the hell out if me. Plus 40m is way too much.
I don’t like this radar buy I got used to it.
I might actually like it more because you actually have to use your mind instead of knowing exactly where he is.
The 40m radar seems to be when you join a game in progress. I keep getting it whenever I join a game in progress in social assault or in warzone.

I think that might just be a coincidence
never noticed, I don’t usually pay much attention to my radar

I think it is only on the grifball map, since I noticed a much bigger radar message
On warzone, the radar range is only 20m unless you have advanced sensors on sooooooo…IDK
Actually I haven’t noticed… I’ll keep an eye out for next time though.

Halo 5 is one big experiment
I think 18m is WAYYYY too small but 40m? HELL no, please, that is way over the top, I noticed it too and am constantly expecting players to be around the corner just to find them down the hall. I rally want the radar fixed but this is a bit too far. Go back to the classic Halo distance please

I’ve never used the advanced radar though and I still encounter the increased size

I’ve noticed it in the Social Arena playlists. Most recently Social CTF. It’s not very common though. But i’ve experienced it multiple times. If you pay attention to the radar you will immediately notice the different between 18 and 40. Enemies won’t be where you are expecting them to be
