Is 343 ruining halo?

I think they’re elevating it and making it better. Of course, that’s just my opinion.

I think it getting better than it was years ago.

in its own way I say its elevating it

Not better than H3, but they’re catching on

Honestly I’m very excited to play H5 when I get an X1. But I’m getting the MCC first when I get my X1, I loved H4, the graphics were great, I liked the new assemble of weapons, but abilities like Promethian vision felt like legal wall mods that were built into the game. The legendary ending got me so HOLY CRAP HE TAKES HIS HELMET OFF!!!, overall, I will continue to support the franchise, etc.

I think it’s making it way better than how it used to be!

this is a tough question, I thought they did an excellent job with the h4 campaign, but I found the h5 campaign to be lacking. I hate the squads, but I feel like they use the squad as a source to fill the void where Cortana or the arbiter use to be. I feel like this campaign took a hero and vilified her because it was suppose to be shocking, but it really feels hollow and unnatural. I think the multiplayer is a step in the right direction, but the campaign was so bad, in my opinion, that I secretly wish that halo:5 guardians is a lead up to halo 5 (obviously I know this is pure fan boy fantasy). I was just so dissatisfied with the campaign.

I enjoyed Halo 4 more than any other Halo game. 343i have done so much for us e.g. MCC. Sure, the multiplayer was bad at first but its fine now and we have remnant and Halo 3 ODST to make up for us. Hell, they are giving us free DLC! I haven’t got Halo 5 yet but I played it at a mate’s and found it to be the best Halo yet. So, no, they are not ruining it.

It sucked - and we were (knowingly) mis-sold a story that quite simply wasn’t there. The whole ‘team’ dynamic is just another way that 343 and Microsoft are trying to up the numbers of XBox Gold members as a money spinner. You can pretty much guarantee that all AAA XBox titles, even those without a substantial online component will need XBox Live accounts to work properly in the future.

Bloody shame about Halo though.

Story wise, no. They are so much better than Bungie, even if they’re shorter. Multiplayer wise… eh, I’m not sure. I don’t enjoy 4 or 5 as much as I did 3 and Reach, so… like I’ve already stopped playing Halo 5 for like Fallout 4. First game I’ve stopped this quickly.

I think that they are heading in the right direction, but they are not quite there yet.

Of course its improving. Crazy question.

I am hearing some hate on 343i.
I personally think halo is still good, people just don’t like change.

Fair enough, with change there is always going to be some bumps in the road. I do love the variety of multiplayer options now. In my opinion the only thing stopping H5 from being what H3 was to me is the forge (griffball). I have noticed a good number of people hating on 343 for silly things, like armor.

I clicked on the thread mainly just b/c I liked the OP’s user name, LOL. I shoulda used that one.

But in answer to the question, I approve of their overall handling of the franchise, at least from the perspective of the campaigns and the lore, which is what I’m all about. I can’t comment on what they’ve done with multiplayer.

I think they are making it more like Halo the Universe and less like a shooter with shields.

It’s revolutionizing! It’s becoming legendary AF.

Two words Req Packs…FML
