Is 343 listening?

I like 343. They are doing a pretty good job. But I really hope they are listening.

Forge is coming in December. As we know. But they must add a file share or the forge would be…pretty useless.

Also people want moar gametypes. Infection, assault, ricochet, koth. A lot of people are getting quite bored.

And also bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.

If 343 fail to listen. We may as well say goodbye to halo. I think halo 5 is a step in the right direction but 343 need to act like they truely care about the communities wants.

What does everyone else think. Should 343 seriously consider listening for their own good?

I’m sure they do.

for the most part yes

but you have to have their attention if it deals with the eSports, HCS, and MLG aspects

i am afraid the social halo we all knew and loved and brought together a wonderful community is dying

I think they already do listen.

Whether or not they listen, their communication in return is trash. We should have had an answer before the game was out on what would become of the missing gametypes/features/settings etc. Whether they were being left out or some estimation of when they would return. Or how about addressing the broken ranking/matchmaking?

The only thing keeping me around until forge and infection (assuming infection comes and has a decent amount of settings) is breakout. But siege is coming this week so it looks like I won’t be on halo much, which is a shame.

Don’t forget a place to play as your online spartan in a PVE Warzone or firefight with teammates and with your own color scheme since we are fighting AI not other spartans no need for RVB.

Yes, they listen but most the crap you see on these forums are related to ideas that the community is divided on, or ideas that would take a long time and a lot of money and effort to implement.

Patience is key, even if it means venturing to other games until new content is released over the next 2-3 years.

Halo and 343 is not “dying” as the 0.001% of complainers on these forums claim. Most video game forums consist of ridiculous complaints as players come here to complain. Me? Well you see I come here to call people out on their moronic logic to put a stop to ridiculous threads.

I’m pretty sure they are.

Siege is amazing and I can actually aim in that game bye bye halo until the fix the aiming because the btb update made it much more difficult so I won’t play it until I hear about a good update where that thing called aiming is back like is all the other halos where I never heard a single complaint about the aiming system

I’m sure 343i is listening, otherwise we wouldn’t be getting an update for aiming coming in December. For the most part Bungie were and 343i are pretty tight lipped, probably because they don’t want to make promises they can’t keep.

If they really were listening, we would hear RESPONSES from them. Have they approved the idea of firefight? What about the missing modes; why not include them in Halo 5 very soon? News comes very late from 343i if we ever get any. They really need to communicate more with the Halo community.

It doesn’t really matter if we don’t hear anything from them.

343, if you’re listening, where are all the playlists? Why don’t we have forge at launch if it clearly works already? Why don’t you care about Halo? Or your fans?

Say goodbye to Halo…Hah! Not me, sorry not sorry

Or maybe it’s all coming and there is a new release plan for the game modes. I’m not defending but I’m pretty sure a lot of those game modes will return.

Honestly, I can’t positively say for certain but I think they are selectively listening to certain things, especially for the hardcore players at the moment, I mean after all Halo 5 is catered to the try-hards (which I can’t complain since I like being one), however at the very least there is Forge to look forward to.
Forge can be said to be proof of listening to the community but on the other hand it can be the opposite as well as they say that we will get Forge “Decemberish” which, uh, isn’t very date specifying. It doesn’t help that they are being tight-lipped about it as well so we aren’t even sure 100% about what specifically is going to be in it, or what else the update would bring.
The only way 343 could positively show that they are listening is if they had a team of some sort on the forums answering questions every now and then. At least then we would be able to get some insight to what is their answers on certain topics besides their random post every week or so.

They probably listen but don’t comment on anything.

Lack of a fileshare system is the killer. That will make or break the new forge honestly.

343 Industries listens to the whole community of Halo. Changes are here and complainers are large in volume. Game modes are coming and to anyone to think they would not bring back the bread and butter game modes is silly but anyone with an internet connection to write a complaint does not make it justified or factual. Seems like there is a new plan for release of game modes and that’s in partnership with Microsoft Studios. 343 Industries does not own the Halo Franchise, Microsoft does and Microsoft gives a certain amount of creative control to 343 Industries. This goes for advertising as well so if Microsoft wants a change in the Halo franchise the change is gonna happen regardless of what studio was allowed to work on the Halo franchise. Mass complaints went up for H2 but I’m pretty sure a lot of people are not aware of that. Same goes for H3 for various reasons and claims where made against Bungie they were not listening to the fans for crucial changes to save Halo. Halo 5 is lacking a few things and believe it’s for a reason. Game just came out and free map packs so let’s see what we all get each month as they roll out new content! Not like they are charging us for this set of content.

To your point, If I had even thought I could complain about H2’s campaign the first time i played it I would have. Playing as the arbiter was a chore. I didn’t see the point. They(The Covenant ) were all the enemy as far as I was concerned. I went back and played it again in MCC and Its ok. Its part of the story, but of all the missions. The Arbiter missions are at the very bottom.

Not charging us for the content isn’t out of 343’s or microsofts generosity. The content will be free so they don’t split the player population to improve the longevity of their game. Instead they included this req card system as their way to make extra profit - a game of chance that favors those who pay most while others have to grind points and consider which cards to use/not use, which detriments warzone gameplay. And since they aren’t getting paid for dlc maps, they no longer need to put in the effort of designing real maps and can instead give us forged ones like we’ve got so far in btb.

Rather than improve from the success of bungie’s games with greater emblem/character customization, file share features or a custom game browser, better ranking system and matchmaking, better theater options, more custom game settings etc. - instead we get a delayed but supposedly better forge (without gametypes or fileshare to support it), warzone instead of firefight (or their previous replacement spartan ops), and a halo with a bunch of gutted content that we’re supposed to be grateful for them potentially adding in later at their leisure.o

For halo 6 we should be looking forward to a refined halo with more of what we love, but instead there’s no room to think about great additions when I find myself worrying if half the features we currently have will even be in the next one or if I’ll be lucky to get them back in halo 6’s third title update.

Sure you’d expect that real dlc maps and missing gametypes/settings and features like fileshare and fixes etc. will all be added in reasonable time, but we can only assume that and hope since their effort to communicate on those issues is lackluster and self serving.
