Lets list a couple of facts
Elites are not playable in Halo 5 even though the community has begged for it since Halo 4’s launch (Biggest thread on waypoint)
Halo MCC did not have full Armor customization just armor sets
None of the Halo games have had the option to customize audio (SFX and Music) even after people have been griping about it.
Halo MCC launched broken
Halo MCC’s theater is Worse then Halo 3’s on next gen software.
Halo MCC’s updates have all been at the end of the month
Halo 5 doesn’t have firefight (one of the most requested features) or Spartan ops
Halo 5 doesn’t have splitscreen (Company couldn’t find a way around it I guess)
The Halo Twitter barely ever tweets out competitive tourney’s
The dev’s are more active on neogaf and beyond entertainment (r/Halo and This forum can go yoink themselves)
But they have the time to add a gametype with micro-transactions. but not enough time to make this gametype forge-able or playable in custome games OR EVEN MAKE THESE MAPS FIREFIGHT PLAYABLE.
So yeah in my opinion 343 doesn’t have the love for Halo, most of these features are staples in most Halo games, But it seems that the devs are to lazy to put any work or love into the game unless it pays into there own wallet.
Anyway, if you think they’re lazy, you should go watch the latest four episodes of The Sprint. Pretty eye-opening look into AAA development.
If you still aren’t convinced, go make your own space marine game, better than Halo 5, and come back to us. No one cares what you think about the developers.
Are you kiding?!
Haven’t you see all the work they made to reconquert allways complaining fanbase with an amazing competitive arena, and an fresh new mode Warzone?!
The work they made for the story and all the stuff around the universe?

Not trolling legitimate question.
Also yes the sprint series makes it looks like they care but their actions speak for themselves.

Total, total nonsense. Yes, some features have been cut but how does that equate to them being lazy? Have you never heard of a deadline? Tough decisions have to be made.

Did you miss the part where they talk about deadlines and having to make the game working and presentable for E3? (Something that most people sweep under the rug as an easy task)

Does one of those tough decisions being made equal them launching a broken game?
Or saying they are listening to the community when the biggest thread on Halo waypoint has been ignored? (Elites)
I think you guys are forgetting something. They are different from Bungie, they have their way and vision of Halo, we are along for the ride. Yes we can give input on which direction to turn on that ride, but it is ultimately them with the wheel. I think Firefight not being there is largely due to the removal of Split-Screen. Whether or not this was due to the Xbox One’s capabilities I am not qualified enough to speak into, however; I feel that this may play a big part in that. Spartan OPs was already confirmed to not continue, since they are coming out with all the new books, and the TV series. I saw in another thread about Campaign theater not being in this game, I would like proof of them saying that because I have yet to see that said.

Yeah their actions are positive in my opinion, and are those of a company making its image of the Halo they do Love, which varies from Bungie’s vision of it. Get over it that is the way it is.

They do care. Are you just going to pretend all the changes made to Halo’s multiplayer from 4 to 5 didn’t happen?

You just made me realize that I should have made note that them being lazy is my opinion. Also nice to see you from the Halo Tracker Days

Elites are irrelevant, who cares how loud the community screams about them (or the few which is actually the case repeatedly), 343i does not want elites just accept it. Don’t like it oh well deal with it. You can keep complaining, maybe boycott the game whatever path, maybe they will listen maybe they won’t. They are not required to listen to anything we say. Yet they do try. Just not good enough for everyone. It is impossible to please everyone. Don’t give me that well they should just add everything -Yoink- and let us decide.

Hmm I was on HaloCharts and HaloTracker but yeah hi.

BTB is coming out weeks after launch, not months. Can you provide a source to other game types you listed not being in at launch?
The game is still going to launch with lots of game modes, old and new.
This man brings a valid question to the table and you guys treat him like he’s ignorant. Did anyone look at the facts? The facts tell us that 343 has cut many things that were ALREADY in Halo that they didn’t want to have to update or work with and that even features like sets of armor were unavailable on games that already had them.
I don’t think lazy is the word for it but they are definitely cutting corners especially with a game that has been worked on for 3 years. Getting it presentable for 1 part of a mission cannot be as difficult as you guys make it seem.
Some people on this thread even said that his argument is “nonsense,” is that really what you say about something that really is food for thought?
