i don’t care about the color because that’s a battle we will never win i dont know why its white but it is anyway the main concerns i/ everyone have is the duration of it. oh my god i don’t even think it lasts 1 second. The X disappears before i even notice it. now this would be a problem with instant respawn if the X lasted 3 seconds and there is a simple solution. take out instant respawn. its not halo no one likes it, its stupid. the second problem with the X is why does it follow your body. just why where do these ideas come from? i literally think 343 is trying to troll us now idk.
Only 343 can stuff up something like this in 3 diferent ways.

to spread awareness, I make every “x” in my posts red.
An example would be if I use the word “excellent” I make the x red.
If enough people do this, I think 343i will be able to see why theirs is ineffective. Along side of us simply telling them.

Actually they do, but its not really a noticeable change in colour.
Yeah go back to Reach/Halo 3’s X, it worked fine and nobody had any problems with it. Simple!

You should be communicating with your team and know where they are. A second or two flash of an X is all your team needs if you are communicating. If you seriously need it longer, you are too dependent or too lazy to learn call outs.
I think you are displacing your team communication problems on 343i. 343i can’t do an update for everyone who needs team improvement.
Work with your team. The x is good as it is. It flashes, gives enough time for someone to say, “On my X”. It does not blurry the screen with icons. It does not make people to dependent. Your team can look in your general direction and see it. If they have absolutely no idea where you are, that is your fault. Your communication failed.

Why switch to an inferior system though? The old one was perfectly fine.

I’ve been sniped at pelican, and dropped my Binary Rifle ordnance on pick-up. You’re just leaving taco. Now find my Binary Rifle before it despawns.
Where did I drop it, on top of pelican? Beneath pelican? Is it close to the cave? Which cave? Is it stuck on a rock? You have less than 10 seconds to get there and figure it out, I’ll do my best to describe it to you. Mind you the time it takes to make the detailed call-out is nearly as long as weapons take to disappear. “Your left, no your other left!..it’s gone…”
And what about new forge maps/DLC maps that just got added? You have call outs that are understood by everyone in the whole lobby of randoms day 1?
Halo 4’s maps are notorious for being poorly designed for call-outs (excluding castle map pack).
