Honestly this frustrates me because I like this game even though I was ready to hate it. However, when I randomly get dropped from matches all the time and it says “offline” while I’m still talking in xbox live party chat and don’t lose connection on the dashboard it’s pretty -Yoink- stupid.
On top of that there’s no way to rejoin a game you get disconnected from. Why? Free games have that functionality. I really can’t fathom a game in 2016 not allowing you to rejoin if you get booted out for some reason.
Also less important but the mics barely work. Sometimes in-game chat doesn’t work and I have to switch to party. otherwise you can’t hear people in fireteam before the game starts which encourages players to be in xbox live party chat and not communicate.
I’m sure these complaints have been made before but with how long this game has been out now I’m not seeing much effort to address these things and am seriously concerned.
I feel your pain and I’ve tried to be vocal on the forums with no solution. Many including myself get dropped numerous times daily to the point where Halo 5 is unplayable. Its frustrating.
Likewise. I know I don’t have a bad connection, but I frequently get disconnected from sessions. I just received my first temporary ban from arena matchmaking earlier tonight because of this.

Why should that even matter, though? Why would there be functionality in one Playlist that’s unranked and not have it in the ranked lists? I’m not talking about even having a new player join to fill the spot… I’m talking about allowing a player who left or got disconnected to REJOIN their game.
Just got kicked again tonight btw. Love it.

The problem is that most don’t understand that these issues generally stem from your side, not 343. You have more variables in the equation.
Have you even tried research the sticky threads above? I bet you there are some team suggested solutions for you to try.

Yet it’s not on my side. I’ve never spoken to anyone on the game that could chat on the mic outside of game or the few seconds right before and after a game. If it’s a design choice it’s a bad one.
Halo 5 is the only game where I get kicked like this. If I’m still in party chat and do not get disconnected from Xbox live how can I be offline on halo?
Yup same issue here especially when I constantly see the “retrieving data” bull crap I’m just tired of seeing this all the time and being dropped from matches wether it’s beginning middle or end my arena/war zone boost goes to waste which pisses me off even more especially for having the rare ultra rare or even legendary boosts. It’s just GONE in the abyss.

I hate seeing that “retrieving data” -Yoink-. And as OP said, the chat system is terrible; when you get kicked from YOUR own game then you should be able to rejoin YOUR game.
